<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>fangm</b></div><div>What are you saying he's played 143 games. Once you've played 160 games you lose your waiver exempt status. If he doesn't make the NHL full time the options are to sit him in the press box or lose him on waivers. That massively decreased a player's value.</div></div>

He's played 2 pro years, surprising everyone and making the team year 1.. He's had a terrible snake bitten second season, but quite frankly the team was a complete and utter dumpster fire so he was getting zero help. He still projects to be a really good top 6, 2C with a lot of the intangibles that you just can't teach. The fans and the front office are still very high on him and don't be surprised if he has a bounce back season this year. They aren't going to give up on him, there's too much too like and he's a pure natural center.

Goaltending, both are talented guys with high-end skill sets but Elvis is very inconsistent and it's a mental issue... having a much more structured team and better defense in front of him should help build his confidence back up.. He has the tools. Tarasov, great skill set , but can't stay healthy. No doubt we have some serious consistency issues in net but considering the large Elvis contract and Tarasov having to hit Waivers now... We're not going to be able to address it... We'll have to hope Elvis can figure it out and Tarasov stays healthy.. Goaltending could undue this upcoming season, it's possible.. Elvis could also bounce back.. We'll have to see what happens. Elvis can get it done... will he?? I don't know
