Fixing the flames from an oilers fans perspective
This is top to bottom stupid. Gaudreau to Vegas makes no sense for Vegas
Morrisey is a good d man for a long time on a good contract, Winnipeg would be brain dead to move him and Giordano doesn't get you a sniff.
Hanifin is in the same boat as Morrisey and is only getting better on an even better contract, that's beyond a dumb trade for a guy who is boom or bust.
Just because as an Oilers fan you rebuilt this team it doesn't mean the Flames should take the Oilers approach to defense, that is seriously lacking the defensive zone prowess that a high caliber team needs.
Getting Lucic was a product of getting rid of Neal which is a great move, Neal would have produced nothing in Calgary because he didn't have two other players shooting the puck off his stick on the PP and he wasn't good enough to play in the top 9 on the wing. Lucic is liked in the room takes up way too much ice time but shows a hint of effort as opposed to Neal who was ducking scrums and turning away form any contact in the playoffs for the Flames.
i don't think you could have done worse at this.

2021 Canucks Roster
Firstly AA is far too inconsistent so not a fan at all.
Rather play from within than him taking TOI.
Everybody seems bent on signing Hamonic. I’m 50/50 but rather use extra cap for bonuses given Petey Hughes & Demko etc need contracts next year. Deferring on the cap hit for bonuses is often ignored or forgotten. Play the kids & see what they have.

2021-22
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Erik8798</b></div><div>I was considering trading Carter, but I feel the buyout won't be as bad since it'll only be 2 years. I'm not too familiar with Michael Anderson, I assumed that 6 NHL games played with not the greatest numbers down in the minors was a sign of a 3rd pairing dman peak, but looking back I may have been too harsh. Also, Ian Cole is criminally underrated, he's a poor mans Shea Theodore with is not an insult at all.</div></div>
Why wouldn't a buyout be as bad? It doubles the length of the remaining cap hit. If they buy him out next summer, they have a $4M cap hit on the books for 2021-22 as well as a $667k cap hit in 2022-23. If they bury him in the AHL, they'll only have a $4.1M cap hit in 2021-22 and no cap hit in 2022-23. If he chooses not to report to the AHL and retires instead, the Kings will have a $3.27M recapture penalty for 2021-22. Buying him out doesn't make any financial sense.
If the Kings want to be rid of his contract, then the best option is to trade him. If they can't trade him for some reason and still don't want him taking a roster spot, then they should send him to Ontario. Either he reports or he doesn't, both would be better options financially for the Kings.
I'm sure Ian Cole is a fine defenseman, but he doesn't have a place on a rebuilding team. The Kings really like Anderson and he will be a mainstay on the Kings blue line for a long time.

So I think you need to take one more player who is under contract for the 2021-22 season but other then that, this is a good list for a rebuilding type of team

Also yeah that Jeff Carter buyout seems like a real plausibility - would be interesting to see what he does and where he goes if he stays

Read description and big Minnie trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Erik8798</b></div><div>I like this, Joel Eriksson Ek is a very underrated defensive forward with a bit of offensive flare to his game, with time to improve. Puljujarvi barely has space to come into his own, so I love the addition of Samorukov, a very overlooked goaltending prospect. RNH is a fantastic offensive player, Fiala is much the same. I don't know if the Wild would be smart enough to realize they're still an unreal defensive team and just need an offensive spark to get them back into contention, but I like your trade.</div></div>
I think it is a very fair trade personally. But some people get crazy on here and want to rip people off. We will see what wild fans think.
