Stars are most definitely not doing that.
DeBrincat’s value hasn’t hone up near a whole Stankoven since he last got traded.

Overpay for both and you have Suter in the lineup over Harley.
The 2nd one makes this AGM a disaster (Suter in this league is a crime).

Just to think if Dallas would’ve signed someone like a Jake McCabe instead of Ryan Suter, Dallas would be in Vegas’s place as of right now.

Same.

Benn is our captain and had 78 points this season, he isn’t getting bought out.
Recency bias is a drug, just because he sh*ted a series doesn’t mean he should be bought out.

Next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Phleb2</b></div><div>If that's the price, I would go ahead. Kyrou is 2 or 3 years from NHL duties and Fabbro would be ready to play alongside Miro next season.
Dallas is not in a reconstruction mode and, as we have seen, is not very far from being a true Cup contender.
Just need to fix that right side of D.</div></div>
My idea is in the right place, the problem is the two dumps in which Nill should've never signed in the first place. Grush/Kyrou and a 2nd are the right price, but it's how to get rid of Hakanpaa and Miller.
I included them in this because I'm not sure how/who/what to give up to get rid of them. However, I still do think Miller minus these playoffs would be an asset the Preds would take as a fill-in for next year.

I don't see anything hear that compels Nashville to consider this trade.
A Fabbro trade doesn't get done without Bourque, Bichsel, or Kyrou</div></div>
Remove these playoffs, Miller has been a decent bottom 6 RHD who can replace Fabro (not his quality, but his place).
Yes, I do agree Hakanpaa is a dump, but it's only for one year, I can add an extra 3rd to get rid of him.
The pick is only in 2024, it's not that far away.
Implying that to get Fabro you need a Bourque/Bischel caliber prospect to get someone like Fabro is delusional, they're the starting price for a premier top 4 RHD like a Carlo or a Pesce for example. Although I do agree that maybe a Kyrou/Grushnikov caliber prospect would be more suitable than a Stranges.

Lindell has played terrible these playoffs but's not awful and his contract is about right. The Hakanpaa and Miller deals are just doing what you can with limited funds.
The Marchment deal is iffy, Got paid after a 1 year wonder typa year.
Suter was awful, Benn and Seguin haven't lived up to their contracts for various reasons.
Overall Nill is still a fairly good GM imo.</div></div>
Lindell is paid too much, plain and simple.
Miller is a 2 million dollar scratch
Hakanpaa is a future Shanghai Sharks player
Marchment was a bad gamble then and it still is now

Nope, just pointing out that he, like the Stars, is terribly inconsistent at his job.
He’s good at drafting, developing and signing RFA’s. It’s just when it comes to old guys, he just gets tempted to give out way to lucrative deals.

Nill’s got to be one of the worst GM’s when it comes to give out UFA deals, as of right now many contracts look horrible such as:
Suter
Marchment
Lindell
Hakanpaa
Benn
Seguin
Miller
Need I say more.
