Offseason work
I would make that trade as the Anaheim GM.
I like all of your other moves except that I think that a prime free agent like Carson Soucy is going to get a 5-year deal. But we got Frankie Vatts for the same price, so I could be wrong.

Nylander
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garitjax</b></div><div>I admittedly am not super familiar with Sandin but my understanding is he is an offensive d man. Something the Ducks really do not need. He was what was offered on HF. Hague is a year older, 7 inches taller and like 50 lbs heavier which fits the Ducks needs more. Perfectly open to swapping Sandin out for something else, maybe a Second rounder?</div></div>
Sandin is more offensive but he is more than capable defensively. Not a shut down guy but great at defending the rush and moving the puck. A 2nd and 3rd sounds right for Hague

Seems a bit steep. Id swap McTavish for the 2023 1st and remove one of the seconds

Trading Dubois LOL
Honestly I’d do that Ducks trade. Not loosing Drysdale Zegras or Steel is a big win. Sign me up

I Hate This Team
Neither Drysdale or Zegras are ready. If Comtois was he’d be on the main roster. Hardly the GMs fault when LW2 was Comtois’ to lose and he lost it.
Hutton was a PTO and didn’t make the team, I’d much rather have the assortment of guys we have than him anyways
We can have all the interest in PLD in the world, doesn’t mean CBJ moves him.
We’re rebuilding. If we rush our top prospects because we’re excited we get a Casey middlestat scenario taking the slow approach is 110% the right call, the worst thing that happens is they blow through the AHL and come up a bit later, I would always rather that then rush them up and ruin their confidence and development.
Patience is key, we aren’t competing with Zegras, Drysdale, etc so why rush them before they are ready. Neither of them have played against men consistently before.
The team doesn’t go away if we don’t win this year and honestly we won’t with any combination of players we have available right now. They aren’t good enough and they aren’t ready

No. It’s all about the cap today. They were over by 600k with 20 rostered players and 3 on IR. They places Guhle on LTIR to get to 81.5M. Kesler will go on LTIR next and they’ll have an additional 6.875M in cap space to then call up who ever they like. Hades is just complaining to complain.

Hoffman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>His situation would be a lot in Anaheim than Halls in Buffalo. With the Sabres Hall signed as the 2nd best player on the team and a team trying to exit rebuild now. In ANA Hoffman would be signing as the #1 PP guy, but I think he is better off doing a 1 year deal with a more competitive team to avoid his value dropping like Barrie's did. Hoffman is coming from one of the highest scoring teams in the league, going to one of the lowest is going to drastically hurt his value. Especially if Florida still continues to be a high scoring team.</div></div>
You’re over exaggerating his value drop. He’s still score ~30 g in ANA. Gets and Steel can still dish it. He’d get his ~10 g on the PP. He makes a ton of sense for ANA based on GMBM wanting to compete for a playoff spot and getting top line minutes and focal point of the PP makes sense for Hoffman. The only thing that might not make sense would be money depending on how much actual cash the ducks wanna spend this season.

19-20 Ducks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ForsbergForVezina</b></div><div>Silly question, but it’s something that’s crossed my mind.
Do you think the Ducks could and would trade Getzlaf, if the price were right? Obviously they’d have to retain 50% of his cap hit, but with no major free agents coming up and Getzlaf clearly nearing the end of his career, do you think it would be a move worth making?</div></div>
I wouldn't move him for any deal that would be realistic tbh. His leadership and mentorship to our incoming wave of young players is super valuable imo and I don't think anything we would realistically get back would be worth it.
Not to mention we would need a top 6 centre if we moved him, and I wouldn't want to put that pressure on Terry or Steel right away. With Getz and Henrique here they have protection and wouldn't be counted on as our top offensive centre immediately so they could get adjusted to the NHL game
