Winnipeg locker room toxins expelled
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>Laine being a baby and "needing to go" (look how that's turned out) doesn't change the allegations.
There's clearly an issue in that locker room when the Captain gets stripped of his captaincy. Or when their franchise goalie goes from "we're very close to being able to make runs and being a dynasty" to "I want out" in two years. Wheeler (even after being stripped of the C) and Scheifele (who also wants out now) are a large part of the teams leadership group, so they have a big part in what the locker room atmosphere is like. Dubois is just a small problem in comparison.</div></div>
The entire story came from a journalist in Finland who knows nothing about Winnipeg. He took Laine’s story as gospel and ran with it.

We have one locker room toxin and it’s PDL. The rest of this makes no sense.

PLD Drama Comes To An End And Others Are Dealt Too
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Onlyfairtrades1</b></div><div>Trocheck is a good 2C, but for the Rangers, so he isn't being traded for PLD, who isn't that much of an upgrade. Schneider is off limits in a trade because he Trouba's eventual replacement in the near future and will be the foundation of the Rangers D with Fox and Miller for many years. Neither is being traded. The only way PLD comes to NYC is if he signs long term at a cap hit they can deal with and they move out a big cap hit like Panarin. IMO, there is no deal for PLD that makes sense for the Rangers right now unless the Jets want Panarin.</div></div>
I can see Panarin back in Chicago.

PLD Drama Comes To An End And Others Are Dealt Too
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Feelers4Ehlers</b></div><div>I agree with this. Kakko is a no deal from NYR.
I really like PLD to NYR. I even did that in one of my ACGM teams. First of all if NYR is on PLD's 5-7 team list I can see him signing a 8 $7-8M deal with them. They are a contending team and the report came out saying that he would be willing to take less to sign with a contender. Second, the NYR will have to move salary out so I understand Goodrow being in the package back to the Jets. However the Jets have a big need and that is a RHD. NYR have a what looks like a really good young RHD in Braden Schneider who is stuck behind Trouba and Fox. He isn't jumping ahead of those guys in playing time. Now back to the part where NYR needs to shed salary to fit PLD in. Trocheck is a guy who would be a solid number 2 centre. Chevy has said this is a re-tool so bringing in a guy like Trocheck makes that easier. The only thing is would he waive his no move to come to Winnipeg? doubtful.</div></div>
I can’t see Drury trading Schneider so I left him out. I also don’t see Trocheck waiving for us. I see Trocheck on the top line as a RW with Mika and Kreider. I have Laffy with Dubois. I have all of this happening because I think they can ship out Panarin. I think Chicago would take him back since they now have an elite centre coming in the door.

They could offer us the 14OA this season and their goalie prospect Joel Blomqvist and that’s about 90% of what I’d want.

Brett Pesce plays the same kind of minutes for the Canes. He is their 2nd pairing RHD only because of Burns but he’d be top on may teams. If you want a RHD and everything I’ve seen indicates Buffalo wants to upgrade there then you can sign one who won’t be quite as good or you can move for a rental with a year left. Pionk has 2 years left, meaning he has more value than a rental. I’d only take a late 1st for him if a prospect with decent value was included, either a centre or RHD.

Detroit likely doesn't do that and they shouldn't imo, they're quite far away from being relevant.
Unfortunately thats likely all they'll get for Dubois, a later 1st and B-prospect, might get a bit better/more but thats roughly what it'll be.
Could probably recoup a late 2nd for Nino at the TDL, have a lot of cap space so should keep him till then.
Way too generous a contract for Barron, he should be in the $900K range.
No chance of Lundmark getting in the lineup over Hamonic.</div></div>
I would want more than a late 1st for him unless a decent prospect is included. None of the free agents are a better option than he is. He also has 2 years left at a decent cap hit. A first round pick would have to be part of the deal or it’s pointless to trade him this year.
Detroit isn’t the best fit but that’s what I’d want for him. Other teams like Buffalo or Pittsburgh who need a goalie and are in win now mode would want Hellebuyck is he is on the market.
I’d rather play Lundmark but we would be rotating him with a veteran whether it’s Hamonic or someone else.

I agree with you. Detroit isn’t a top trade destination. Maybe he will sign there later in his career but he wants to win a cup and it’s not happening with us and Detroit has some years yet before they can really be considered a cup contender.

You are in the toughest division in the league. Buffalo is ahead of you. Ottawa is ahead of you. The teams above them aren’t going to magically drop off next season. I can see Detroit in the playoffs once Boston and Tampa are completely done for but not before. They have a good 2 seasons yet.
