Rosen is the type of prospect that would need to come back in a Hart deal. Luukkonen and the third don't move the needle much, still need more for Hart.

Flyers are rebuilding. They want picks and prospects, not a guy that they have to pay big in a year <em>and</em> will be 30+ by the time the rebuild is over in 3 or 4 years.

Flyers are not one superstar forward away from being a contender. They are rebuilding so taking Marner doesn't make sense.

As stated above he is wildly inconsistent, some nights he looks like a bonafide first line center, other nights he gets lost going to the bench. I also wouldn't say Hayes is the perfect 200' player, he wants to be much more offensive minded than Torts wants him to be. Torts isn't telling him to not score but don't do it at the expense of defensive play which he does somewhat regularly, leading to Torts benching him and Hayes disagreeing with it.

In a different system Hayes can thrive but under Torts with the Flyers rebuilding both on and off the ice he clearly wants to move on.

Ersson isn't going anywhere. Flyers aren't trying to be good, they are entering a rebuild. They want to shed cap if possible and bring in young players, not trade them away.
