Worst contracts team

You said it yourself, Kotkaniemi averages only 14 minutes a game last season and wasn't on the first unit PP. His pts/60 mins is actually really good for a defensive center. Nobody is going to be surprised if he puts up 65 points this season with more ice time and responsibility. The kid is 23 years old, not even close to one of the worst contracts in the league

Plus I would also add that he is a very very good defensive forward and is the third shutdown center for the Hurricanes

Not a chance... $4.8m for a 2C is not market value but it isn't the one worst contracts. He has pretty solid point production and is a shutdown forward... I don't think that his value is far off

This is probably one of the most imbalanced Chychrun trade offers I’ve seen

Flames have no need or want for Simmonds
That’s nowhere close to a strong enough offer for Chychrun. It’ll easily be beat

No.... If that's the offer then Arizona won't move him. They've made it clear that they want a top prospect along with 2 first rounders. Maybe that price comes down a bit, but there are still lots of teams that would easily offer more than this

It saves TB ownership real cash, it opens a contract slot and allows them to accrue more cap space for TDL. Have a nice day.

No they acquired him to take the uninsured portion off Chicago's hand opening up a contract slot and saved Chicago ownership real cash

This team needs a big re-tool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Drshnuckels91</b></div><div>In my opinion, the oilers should trade drai. His value is at an all-time high and you already have your superstar in mcdavid. You could get a ton of value from him and dump some terrible contracts by trading him.I only see two good partnerships for a drai trade though realistically(Columbus and Dallas). You get a top 5 pick, a young top defenseman on a good contract(Werenski or Jones your pick) and you can get a great top 6 winger in laine out of it.If the Oilers can't get anywhere with this current roster trading drai might be a good choice long term.</div></div>
I definitely respectfully disagree. We need Draisaitl. We need him to be our 2c, and score a bunch on the PP, as we don’t have any other player that can be the 2c, and he is a very good player. Trading him is the worst option in my opinion, we should go and get a good left side on our offence, and get a starting goalie. We need more shooting power, and more defence on our offence. Also, we don’t need the picks, as it’s our time to win now. We need to go for it.

Paying an additional 3rd and eating Neal isn’t worth it.

With the laine thing, I wasn't aware of that but even then it doesn't change too much you just sign him for one year.Reinhart doesn't wanna play in buffalo at all it seems and you get a top 5 pick out of him that seems pretty good.</div></div>
It would cost a 1st just to move Neal, Buffalo won't sell anywhere near that cheap on Reinhart, his value is super high after his fantastic season. And there are plenty of ways to improve the oilers without losing a franchise center/future hall of famer...

Laine's qualifying offer is 7.5 million. So you can't sign him that cheap. And that package doesn't get us anywhere close to Reinhart. And trading Hart Trophy winners on good contracts probably isn't a smart idea...

I’m not a fan of trading for Laine, and trading Draisaitl. We need to do some trades, and sign some players. We need left handed wingers.

Laine amp Hoffman Dream Scenario

Are you really comparing Cirelli and Sergachev to Tippett and Weeger? Because from the sound of things it sounds like to me that you're. While you may not like what we've to say the OP doesn't come close to getting Patrik Laine Weegers numbers aren't Top 4 caliber and Tippett has done nothing to suggest that he's a piece that should be moved to acquire Patrik Laine. It's a bad offer for Laine no matter how you slice it.

Way to blow it out of proportion. There's a massive gap between Sergachev + Cirelli and Weegar and Tippett. Nobody said Sergachev or Cirelli, Just significantly better than Weegar, lol

If the Jets trade Laine for some reason, it'll be for a solidified top 4 dman with top pairing potential, or for a solid top 6 winger and picks. You've offered them neither. Winnipeg is still trying to contend, they don't need prospects

You provided Winnipeg with nothing substantial, Chevy wants a 2C same thing Florida needs and a Top 4 LD/RD potential future top pairing and you provide them with none. That's a terrible offer for Laine. And Winnipeg declines.
