Good is an interesting way of putting it. He wasn’t terrible is probably as far as I would take it. But sure, not arguing if that would help or not. It’s not an all in move was my point. More of a joke than anytbing tho.

You’re out of your mind if you think Monahan pulls anything but a 3rd round pick at this point. 2nd+Faber is insanity

i think barbashev would be a solid pick up for playoffs, and add some serious grit and grind to that third line. I still think we need to address the 2C role though and cogs i personally don't think is strong enough to be a full time 3rd liner. with 2.6 to play with here i think there are options that could work for a rental 2C the hopefully newhook can take it next year

What I'm saying is that we already have two NHL caliber goalies. If you say put Hill in the deal instead of Brossoit, we would accept.

Also as an Avs fan, I would not. Reports from Vancouver seem to indicate that the ask is higher than Newhook alone.
Adding Horvat makes the Avs a more dangerous team. Bonino, Brassard, Schenn don’t move the needle much.

Boston doesn’t do that, both players need a fresh start but DeBrusk has been much better then Comtois this year do adding the second doesn’t make sense for boston

Wish for the avs deadline
I don't think I would bother trading Anderson if that's the return. Not arguing value, I would rather finish the season with an adult goalie, our other options are barely NHL goalies. A pair of 6ths that realistically never see the NHL aren't worth it.

Hawks deadline
Hawks are better off keeping Strome who will be cheaper and has known chemistry with both Cat and Kane and will play a top 6 role. Toews is nothing more then a 3C going into next year....a good one albeit. Dach is a big question mark as to whether he would benefit on the wing, he certainly can;t win a faceoff to save his life. Reichel hopefully is what we think he is next year as a top 6 Center and if so, Strome, Reichel and Toews is a pretty good for now with Dach on the wing.
I don't think I'd do that Bruins trade either. Better off keeping a asset that's 2 years younger, much cheaper with Hagel. Plus Kubs is likely gone and Hagel has looked great in the top 6

Avalanche easily decline that trade for either Newhook or Francouz straight up. No chance at both. Avs and Fleury aren’t a fit.

Jets deadline
I might be one of the few Jets fans who say this, but I think DeBrusk would look good in a Jets jersey. I watch a lot of B games (wifeys team) and I always liked his game. Fast, aggressive, great forechecker with a scoring touch. If he extended with a reasonable cap hit, I think he would add some middle six scoring.
We aren’t getting a 3rd for BooLoo, maybe a 7th but tbh he’s probably waiver wire bound. I’d be fine taking Ritchie for Toronto’s 22’ 2nd but I doubt Chipman is.
Getting our second back from Washington would be good for Stasny. 42-45 range could target Rinzel

As a Rangers fan, we don't need help on D except for bottom pair and I don't think Chychrun will solve that. Since that will push guys down like Miller to the third and Lindgren-Fox have been an awesome 1st D pair. And Chychrun on second pair would be a waste...

Perfectly reasonable Eichel return, which will make it all the more funnier when its a bag of peanuts in actuality. Its not gonna be Kaapo or Laffy or Fox or Miller or Igor. Its gonna be Nils or Schneider, Strome, the 2021 1st and a bag of hockey pucks and Lemiuex's MAGA hat for Eichel in the end.

Bruins would consider it. But they need to get a 2LW replacement. I wouldn’t do it unless I could find some way to get Forsberg or Arvidsson as well to replace Debrusk. Obvs the bruins would have to add. Not sure how much though.

Yeah. But we already have a surplus of wingers so he'd be getting 3rd line minutes. I'm sure neither Kessel nor the Wild want that.

Eichel to ARZ
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>reelkena</b></div><div>Remove Hossa since Ari will need the LTIR and add Keller. That's a start anyway.</div></div>
This is probably the best trade proposal I've seen for Eichel. Agreed that ARI needs the LTIR of Hossa, but would be a huge step to a rebuild in BUF. Chychrun is the real deal, and Schmaltz is a certified top 6. Hayton is a great prospect who has extremely high upside. Adding an ask for Keller is just being greedy, esp if Arizona is willing to take an anchor contract like Okposo.
Eichel has loads of talent, but he can't carry a team. Add Keller and he has no wingers. Throw in Lawson Crouse and this is a done deal.
