Poirier is obviously a bit of a long shot but the thought of him and Drysdale running around in Anaheim gives me diarrhea.

He is a long shot tho but if he can learn to play Defence a bit more and is offence translate to the NHL Calgary got an unreal steal.

Vancouver not willing to do Heinen for Virtanen one for one. Why would we add Motte?

Reminds me of a more talented Kylington right now, I think he reaches closer to his ceiling than Kylington though.

It was the other way around. ANA wouldn’t do Virtanen for Heinen straight up because of Virtanen’s salary next season. Ducks aren’t taking on more money with Motte.

I think both teams want the other to add. Either way, no way is Vancouver agreeing to this. There's a reasonable argument that Motte > Heinen especially when factoring in the contract.

Every report I saw was about Virtanen’s salary next season being the hold up.

Also there’s no argument where Motte is better than Heinen. Heinen: 50.25 CF% 50.93 xGF% 2.45 xGF/60 2.36xGA/60
Motte: 47.4 CF% 46.28 xGf% 2.53 xGF/60 2.94xGA/60

Yeah by the same coach that scratched Henrique. Heinen should be in the line up but Eakins is awful.

Billy Guerin woke up this morning and said to himself "my team is pretty good, but something is missing". After thinking long and hard about it, it came to him "Ben Hutton! He shall lead us to glory". Thus it was and for only a fifth rounder, what a steal. But in reality Bill decided he has similar guys on the taxi squad and decided to keep his 5th round pick.

He won’t because it’s like 3.5M to qualify him I think i saw. Motte or Virtanen wouldn’t get qualified at that number either.

Neither Motte or Virtanen need to be qualified this summer. That is part of my point. No way Vancouver adds Motte. He's more valuable than Heinen.

It's clear you don't know the player.

We wouldn't be interested in a Bennett-for-Rakell swap because if we decide to trade Rakell, we would plan to replace him from within. We're weak at RW and RD. We have little interest in trading Rakell for a second unless it comes with the right player, and we have no interest in trading for Poirier because we have LaCombe and Thrun in the pipeline already.

Getzlaf is not worth a 1st and a 4th nowadays, even at 50% retention. - and Islanders don´t need him.
