Starting Lineup if Healthy
I think you have a couple of mistakes here.
1. Since Drouin-Dvorak-Anderson are together for the preseason they will likely start the season together.
2. Edmundson-Petry are not being split up
3. Ducharme already said Romanov will play on the left side and since Chiarot is playing the right side one would assume the 2nd pairing will be Romanov-Savard and the 3rd pairing will be one of Kulak\Wideman\Norlinder\Ghule with Chiarot

Toffoli - Staal - Anderson

Deadline deals Does this get Ekholm
I'd be surprised if it does. Two bottom of the roster players not expansion exempt and a mid 2nd round pick usually don't fetch 1st pairing dmen.

Absolutely not! You’re gonna have to send something that gets poile excited and this isn’t even close. This offer might even shut down negotiations right away be it’s so bad. To be honest I don’t think poile is in a rush to sell ekholm now and would have to be a offer that blows him away

What the Canadiens offered vs What Jarmo wanted
Those « rumors » are BS if you ask me. Men, KK, Guhle, Caufield and a first would have set back the habs for ten more years. Dont you realise how ceazy that is? 4 first round picks for a single player not even close to Matthews or Eichel or Mac.
Im so relieved nothing happened jesus christ

Perry will only go up if Evans go down or the first injury occurs IMO.

my lines jan 20 2021 vs Vancouver
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habsfan01</b></div><div>YES PLEASE</div></div>
So this is my take on this. I love Armia, I really do, but Toffoli is a goal scorer that is not the best in the neutral zone. Armia does not have major speed, so that means not much speed on the wings for KK, which means he is doing most of the puck carrying, which is putting a lot of pressure on him. A little side bar, 22 years ago I had 4 good offensive players down the middle and I only needed 3. I took my best 3 and traded the 4th one. His parents were livid and called me all kinds of names. It is not the their son was not good, I simply had 3 better ones. All three had amazing offensive seasons and went to higher levels. Same with Armia, he is a good player but in the current line up, having him and Toffoli as KK's wingers is not helping.
So, I say trade Armia, you should get a decent return. Move Toffoli to RW, move Byron up to LW, thus you now have your speed and insert Perry or someone else on 4th line.

Thoughts on what just happened
You said it yourself, Cale had passed Noah on the depth chart... and Juulsen was once a prospect with potential. Key word "was". He has played next to no hockey in the last 3 years, years in which are inexplicably valuable to a young D-prospect.

The only trades that actually make sense
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsRealGM</b></div><div>Agree to disagree I guess. I think KK is definitely better than a 3C. I think we've only seen a small sample size and from what I've seen he has all skills to be a 1C or 2C, he just hasn't put it together yet. Up till now he's been a kid. He got drafted 3rd overall for a reason. Everyone develops slightly different. 2 years is a big difference when you're talking about 22 vs. 19.I haven't seen enough PLD to know all his intangibles but I'm pretty high on KK as a pretty complete player. Don't see the need at this point to make a trade if CBJ want KK +... Too much to lose when you could hold onto the chips you have. Agree, Weber much better then and now. It is similar situation though.</div></div>
For KK being better than a 3C, I'm talking about right now. There are no guarantees he develops into anything more. There's a real good shot he does, but nothing is guaranteed. I'm not saying KK is a bust or anything (Way too early to even consider that), I'm just talking about who will be the better player. Dubouis is 22 so everything you are saying about KK is the same for PLD. Neither players are even in their primes yet.

Come July 15th- Laine, Roslovic, 2nd for Dubois, 1st.
This means that both of them can sign long terms deals with each team if they want to go to each place. It then give each team to fill a need in FA if needed. This would only happen if both agreed to long term deals

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Duggysdanglers</b></div><div>There’s nothing left on your roster to entice CBJ. You would have to let go of one of those guys.
Kotkaniemi and Suzuki should be made available. Danault and Tatar could be had as UFAs. Untouchables on Habs should be: Weber, Price, Romanov, Drouin(?), Caufield and a few others.
Have give in order to get. CBJ does not have to trade right away.</div></div>
I literally said that Columbus wouldn’t be interested in a trade. We don’t need PLD, so we obviously wouldn’t give up any significant part of our team unless there’s a benefit in the swap (ie. the age of Danault vs. Dubois).
Edit: Also, you clearly haven’t watched the habs of you think that Suzuki isn’t the most valuable player in the organization. (Trade-wise)

Tatar and Danault will be UFAs soon. I think a deal starts with either Suzuki or Kotkaniemi and then you have to add from there. Not sure what else but you might have to include one of those top prospects. Or a high pick. Something.</div></div>
Again, I don’t care what Columbus would want. The question is asking what we’d be willing to give up to get him, and that’s what I answered to prove that there isn’t a deal that either side would be interested in doing here.

Creating Dubois trades that make sense
Thats too much from MTL... Maybe if Dubois was an established 70 pts C but he's only had one season over 60 pts (i know hes 22). What Im trying to say is that giving up Danault extended (28 yo) and whos a 50pts+ elite defensive C who will be loved by his coach, Caufield who's got great chances of becoming a 30 goals/60pts+ kinda guy and Struble who's honestly the most underrated prospect that we have (the kid's got it all tbh), simply isnt worth it then (even for a local kid like Dubois).
I think considering the situation CLB is in (in terms of competing for a Stanley cup), replacing Caufield with Tatar would be much more fair and would actually work money wise for MTL. OR I saw some trades earlier in which Danault, Guhle and a first were offered. Considering our amazing depth of defensemen prospects and our pile of picks in the last few draft, we could definitely make that kind of trade.

The habs trade is a no, the Kopitar one very interesting though. Those types of trades make the most sense for a Dubois deal I think.
Of course, nothing would be better than if CBJ could just lock Dubois up long term. CBJ needs to get that part figured out.

He didn't say KK would not be involved (from a CBJ perspective), he said Dubois to the Habs is not realistic, which I agree with.
I personally would not trade our Selke candidate center who also outplayed and outproduced Dubois at 5 on 5 last season while also adding Kotkaniemi who all habs fans expect to be a #1 or #2C in the near future. Yes KK is not Dubois, but he is also two years younger and was drafted with the expectation that long term he would become a #1C.

The only trades that actually make sense
I have made a few Dubois trades myself and included KK in a couple. OK is not the player I would give up for Dubois if I had my choice. And I definitely am not giving up both KK and Danault. Montreal is not trading 2 Centers for 1 especially not one they view to be a Barkov type player in the future and Danault who is one of the best 2 way centers in the league. I only ever in Clyde one of alDanault or KK in any proposal and prefer the Danault proposals as Danault fits with Columbus' win now mentality. A package of Danault + Tatar + Norlinder with both Tuna and Danault extended has more than enough value for Dubois. However even if we don't trade for Dubois I would be just as happy with the team we have now. So yes having Dubois would be great but IMO it doesn't improve the team enough to go out of our way and overpay significantly for him.
