Follow my logic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeygoalie53</b></div><div>I feel like you've taken bits and pieces of things I've posted on here and made your own post about it... lol. But all kidding aside, this is what my thought process on a Marner OS has been all along. The Isles have the prospect pool to handle giving up 4 1st rounders and they also have enough contracts that are movable that won't hurt the team overall to clear the necessary space to do so. And like you said, the percentage of someone in the lower picks of the first round turning into a Marner is very, very low.
As for the Beauvillier deal, the AAV seems about right, but it'll likely be a 1 or 2 year prove it deal.</div></div>
My man I've been on this train for a while - I've got the links to prove it lol. I only wanted to spell it out in the description. Just two rational minds with an idea that makes sense

Another unrealistic Marner offer sheet
As Hockeygoalie53 indicated above if you're losing four first rounders, go all in with seven years.. Still not sure what term Marner want so he might not even sign the offer sheet.
Isles would have to hope that Ladd stays on LTIR forever because Barzel and Pulock might need big contracts next year plus two other RFA signings.....where does cap come from if Ladd plays.

Marner to the Isles
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Talking_Senators</b></div><div>Nahhh. Look what Subban just gathered.. Leddy hasn't been very good recently.</div></div>
Subban was moved as a cap dump that NSH needed to move and still got 2 C prospects and 2 2nd round picks. two different situations, two very different negotiating positions

Also if Leddy is that good, you should just keep him. Clearly he's so freaking good moving him no matter what will hurt your team...</div></div>
Devon Toews assumes that role. It's not that moving him is a must. But we aren't selling low for the sake of moving him.

Cigs Isles
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeygoalie53</b></div><div>And when he is traded, he'll bring back a 1st... not exactly sure why people keep undervaluing Leddy on here, smh.</div></div>
Probably because we keep wanting to trade him, but what people don't realize is that it isn't because we don't like him. It's because he has value, we have holes to fill that he can realistically bring back in a trade, and we have Sebastian Aho who is NHL ready and can play bottom pair with Boychuk. I wish Leddy could stay here forever, but he's our most valuable trade chip in a year where we really need scoring.

Cigs Isles
Leddy will be traded to either:
a) Bring in a scorer
b) Open up cap space and give Sebastian Aho a spot
He won't be traded for picks to bring in Jake Gardiner. Why not just keep Leddy?

Bear with me
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeygoalie53</b></div><div>Honestly, I don't want to move Mayfield. He's on a cheap contract and made great improvements last year playing second pairing minutes the second half of the season. He was one of our best shot blockers and, based on eye test alone, moved the puck out of the zone pretty well.
I don't know much about Bracco other than I saw he put up 79 points in the AHL last year and is from Long Island. Based off that alone, I'd say Mayfield and a 3rd for Bracco? Or perhaps, Mayfield, Ho-Sang and a 5th?
Gives Toronto a solid 2nd pairing RHD on a cheap contract, something they need with the CAP situation and a mid round pick or a prospect and a late round pick, while the Isles get another prospect to add to the pool.</div></div>
I don’t really doubt that mayfield is a player they would like to keep. When Dobson is ready for 2nd pair mayfield could be moved down and not be a financial burden on third pair.
My other options were demelo, stecher and possibly Myers. Mayfield is always in the top of my list due to that odd contract.

I think Toronto are more likely to package Andreas Johnsson trying to move Marleau
I definitely think for Lee to leave NYI you'd have to pay +$7M

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rangers2020</b></div><div>Lol mid to late 20s 4 years in a row...keep dreaming</div></div>
That implies they win two playoff rounds. Marner clearly helps accomplish that after the year we just had. It's no dream

NYI Offseason - Remaining UFAs Walk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeygoalie53</b></div><div>We will gladly keep him, problem is we have a younger version of Leddy all ready to go and can use Leddy to get some future pieces and not impact our D. And lets be real, Gallagher is good, but he's not worth 2 of Nick Leddy... come on, that's just ridiculous. Him, Drouin and Tatar all put the similar numbers last year, only difference between the 3 is Gallagher is younger and on a better contract.
And in all honestly, lots of rumors suggest two things... Leddy for Hoffman straight up is something that could happen (Hoffman is a far superior winger than Gallagher) and, if Leddy is made available, there are going to be teams lining up for him, so someone is going to have to give up something really good to get him. Montreal desperately needs a Top LHD, so you pick... the #15 overall or Gallagher.</div></div>
Toews is a legit Top 4, ur I agree Pelech and Hickey are not

NYI Offseason Moves - My Take
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jangle29</b></div><div>Nobody is going to pay Marner 11.5 mil.
My god has everyone actualay legit lost their minds?
Anything over 10.5 gets you 4 1sts and ZERO GM who wants to continue to be employed would give 4 unprotected 1sts for him while taking up nearly 13% of the cap for a winger who cannot drive a line honestly.</div></div>
He hasn't lost his mind because he's not offer sheeting he's getting his rights and signing him.. Trading expendable assets (the players he threw in) and 1 first and 2 seconds (potentially 2 seconds) is a steal for marner... could you imagine Marner and Barzal? I'm not an Isles fan but that trade is definitely one of the best I've seen for Marner... I agree, no one should OS him for 4 1sts.
