Yeah someone is not understanding of the situation whatsoever lol. Whatever you'd trade nazar add a 2nd and that's what it would be fair even tho jets don't trade him whatsoever. Still time to delete this btw

Mcgroarty isnt available
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mynameisliang_</b></div><div>I'm quite certain McGroarty would have made the roster out of camp, tbh. I don't see us keeping Iafallo unless Perfetti signs for really cheap. I'm hoping Iafallo plays well into the playoffs here and we can either package him up with someone else or a pick or something to bring back someone else, or we can get a 2nd for him or something.</div></div>
It wasn't a slam dunk he make the roster tbf. Perfetti isn't going anywhere and if iafallo was going to be traded mcgroarty may have signed but the depth on this team is great and trading parts of it for a rookie that may not be ready is risky.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mynameisliang_</b></div><div>I agree with you. I don't really understand why McGroarty is going back, though. Join the Moose for their playoff run, then fight for a spot in camp next year. I think the Jets dump Iafallo at the draft this year, and it's not like Barron/Gustafsson/Appleton have their roster spots etched in concrete. Also, he could be costing himself like 6+ million dollars with this decision. It doesnt really make sense to me.</div></div>
I think the jets are keeping iafallo at this point. Mcgroarty can be the captain on Michigan now and when most of the depth on winnipeg expires after the 2024-25 he can have a full time roster spot for the 2025-2026 season.

Humble Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jobob77</b></div><div>Thanks for the feedback. Personally, I think Barron still have NHL potential. Ceiling being top 4 but looking more like a good 5th D in my eyes. Some say is value is around a 1st. I don’t think so imo.
I could see why Armia could be considered a dump but he is having a strech of good games lately.
If Mony and Toff don’t re-sign in WPG, WPG doesn’t need forward depth?</div></div>
Not really as perfetti has been on the bench it would be nice to keep Monahan for 2c but isn't the end of the world if both leave. Bottom 6 already has lowry, nino, appleton, iafallo, namestnikov, kupari and Gustafsson. That's 7 players for 6 bottom 6 spots with connor Schiefele vilardi ehlers perfetti and hopefully Monahan. So no the jets don't need depth as it is the reason why mcgroarty decided to have 1 final season at Michigan.

Mcgroarty isnt available
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>Agreed, but it's very rare that it's the player that opts to NOT turn pro, it tends to be the other way around. Lane Hutson wanted to turn pro last year, but it was MTL that told him to return to BU (same happened to Caufield a few years back too with Wisconsin), Cutter Gauthier wanted to sign with PHI last year, but it was Philly that told him to return to BC and look how that turned out.
Only other instances of players, I can think of, opting to return to the NCAA on their own were Adam Fox (although in his case he made it very clear he wasn't signing with CGY, so not a good comparable), Jimmy Vesey was another case a while back with NSH (and he really strung the Preds along up until the very end...)
Again, it's a rare case, and WAY too early to think it means he doesn't want to sign.</div></div>
Jimmy snuggerud is doing the same with st Louis and likely still stays with them after next year. Fact is some players prefer to complete their education and goals (frozen four, hobey baker, captaincy, etc)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jobob77</b></div><div>It is just a 10 team NTC could still be easily moved. If you are willing to give a 3rd. What’s the value of MTL players?</div></div>
Idk not familiar with barron but seems to be pretty polarizing if he's a future top 4 guy or even a future nhl guy. Armia is also a dump but is worse as schmidt still has value as a fringe top 4 dman that can play both sides. So idk the value on mtl guys but jets don't really need either guy you included in this deal.

Most I'd give to trade schmidt is a 3rd but if it's more jets can always just buy him out as well. Schmidt also has trade protection so I'd say a buyout is more likely than him dumped imo.

This is basically exactly what I believe the team will look next year. Love the dreiger and comrie signings for the battle for the backup spot as well as hakanpää. Will be more interesting to see what the 2025-2026 roster will look like.

Jets have insane depth so he would be fully with the moose. Him going back where he can be the captain a newer Michigan team next year. Also wants to win the frozen 4 and could be a hobey baker winner. He has shown that he really respects the jets and has done nothing to indicate he wants the ufa route.

What is pionk worth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>I’m not sure he has much value at all. 5.875M cap hit while making slightly more in real money, is bad defensively, and average to slightly above average offensively. Maybe some teams would be interested but I doubt you get too much in return</div></div>
He definitely has more value than your giving him credit. Him being a top 4 rhd instantly gives him value and not signed with insane term as its one year. He isn't bad defensively but inconsistent would be more accurate. He can be great and is seen but then can be bad which doesn't make him "bad" no but inconsistent. The amount of top 4 rhd that have 30 plus points that play all situations that would actually be available is a list you can probably count on 2 hands. He definitely gets a good return but definitely not as much as he's had in the past.

how does this look as a frame work of a offer '
Oilers = Pionk
Jets = Ceci, Bourgault????, 2024 2nd or 2025 2nd Winnipeg picks which one they want
I know yall may not want futures but its always good to have some lol</div></div>
I think its interesting concept but I think pionk and ceci are one in the same in the way where when they play to their best are great top 4 options but you rarely see it as before. Pionk does have more offense and responsibility imo which is understandable as your offer does compensate for that difference but imo its risky for both teams as it doesn't guarantee either team improves at all.

Chevy can't go into next season with the same roster imo iafallo and schmidt are the ones to go, attempt to resign demelo, Toffoli, and possibly Dillon. Lose Monahan likely to have a roster spot open for 1 of lambert/mcgroarty. Sign a back up or 2 and boom amazing

FYI not a Florida fan. OS are so rare that I really wouldn't worry about it unless it happens in the case of the 1/1000s. So all in all I wouldn't be worried if i was a Florida fan as the only teams that could do a os in the range where it question it is 1st and 3rd and only non contending teams have that cap and those teams won't risk an unprotected pick.
All in all OS are so rare so no worries at all!
