But it’s not that I am low on Savoie…it’s just that I don’t think Zergras would be sold at a discount since he has run into injury troubles this year. Same reason Sabres fans wouldn’t accept a discounted return on Cozens this year.</div></div>
So what if it’s his D+2 season??
He’s absolutely killing it. Are all the other D+2 guys doing what he’s doing in juniors? I think not
I didn’t say this would do it to get Zegras
We shouldn’t want to target Zegras anyways
We’re already loaded at forward & if we are gonna trade away any good prospects we have, it should be to fill specific roles/needs we have, not just bring in more of what we already have

I doubt Ottawa is trading Norris any time soon.
I would do that deal in a heartbeat, but Ottawa wouldn't.

Should probably keep Lucius in there. But certainly don't need Kuzmin.
Say Stanley+Lucius rather than Kuzmin+Lucius.

Going all in next year
Jets are flush with young forwards who have top-6 potential at the moment. Trading Ehlers in the offseason would likely have to be a hockey trade for an established RHD of similar value (and cap hit).

What is the best deal for Tanev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jets12Kozy</b></div><div>Don't see why sens would trade for him, also can't see Dallas offering stankoven</div></div>
Both Friedman and Dreger have reported the Sens being interested. Apparently, should he want to extend, they would bring him in this season to get used to the city and teammates so that they can hit the ground running next season.
He is the type of player they are looking for, a defensive def top 4 RD. Also a vet. The only downside is his age, but no one is signing him for 7-8 years.
They could also just be making him aware that they have interest to set some ground work for FA. But, they could also just not want to risk the FA market and make their play now.
I doubt he actually comes here, but I could see the interest from the Sens. And how many times have fans in here said "why trade away assets to get player x, when you can just get him for free in FA" Only to see that player sign an extension and never make it to FA.

I don't know what you're watching, but Monahan doesn't fix anything. He isn't a 2C on a playoff team. He's a marginal 4th liner on the Jets. Namestnikov is a far better 2C.
We know we don't agree, so we can just leave it at this.
The Jets are better off doing nothing, than throwing away assets on Monahan. Whatever team ends up with him will have a serious case of buyer's remorse.

No from Winnipeg. Monahan isn't an upgrade on anyone in Winnipeg's top 9 and isn't worth a 1st + to the Jets.

Trade deadline 2024
You're hysterically overvaluing UFA Sean Monahan. We're certainly not spending our first on him, and if we trade Kaliyev, it will probably be for a LhD youngster.
By the way, Kaliyev has 175 NHL games under his belt and over the past 94 games, is scoring at a rate of slightly under a half-point per game -- i.e., higher than Juraj Slafkovsky over the same period.

Columbus
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jets12Kozy</b></div><div>What's the story behind all of the trade proposals for him lately?</div></div>
Others have said it before me here, but I'd just add that he (rightfully) believes he's an NHL player, yet gets called up only to get scratched when we're sending decidedly not-NHL-level defensemen out instead (mainly Peeke and Gudbranson). It's probably an MO from the FO to play Peeke in an effort to boost his value and move him (counterproductive), but it just reeks of incompetence and mismanagement. Jiricek told the press he should play in a refreshingly honest interview for a rightfully frustrated player, and the reaction on here specifically has been a ridiculous "he wants out!".
The management situation has become untenable overall, he's not the only player upset (Johnson faced similar issues, Elvis obviously didn't like being the 3G for a month). The overarching consensus is this management and coaching group gets canned well before we entertain ever moving Jiricek.

Jarmo is delusional thinking he can get a playoff roster every year, and even in a year that's been admitted to be over with, they aren't playing the youth. Ownership is nowhere to be heard of, and the coach keeps recycling the same garbage open ended statements. And they just lied about Laine.
Players don't want to leave Columbus, they want to leave this management.

He didn't like going back to AHL. He won't be traded, he is too good. Also, a young guy being ambitious is cool, I am surprised hockey fans are not over-reacting by calling him a selfish, baby that is a cancer and bad teammate that Laine influenced haha
