If CGY is trading Tanev & Hanifin,
then there’s pretty much zero chance they’d move Andersson as well
Also, your proposal is more a “video game” type trade than an NHL one with all those parts included
Highly unlikely imo
I’d love to get Andersson, but it just isn’t happening

I<strong> also don't see how the Sabres keep all three of centres going-forward as one of the three will want more ice somewhere else and the Sabres will need to plug their holes</strong>.
If the Flames end up trading everyone than I can see a deal to he had for Ras, if they want a quick retool I can't see him getting dealt. He is too important to the team.</div></div>
I don’t really see this being an issue. Cozens(5), Mitts(2), and Thompson(3) are all each in the top 5 of the Sabres forwards in ice time per game, and each have played at least some wing in the NHL. Mitts in particular can play anywhere in the top 6, so when the Sabres are fully healthy, he can stay at wing or be a 3C with great matchups and still get PP time. If the Sabres sign Mitts for ~7.1 mil a year, they still will have 19 million to resign/replace Krebs, Joki, Girgs, Okposo, UPL, and Erik Johnson. (Some of which might be replaced by prospects).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jets12Kozy</b></div><div>Hmmm I just don't see that 2-3 year timeline, think Hofer, Snuggerud, Dvorsky, neighbors, Peru, buchinger primes while Thomas, kyrou etc are vets will be the next chance to make the push, they can sell off their current vets you listed and have some lottery years in between, rebuild the blue line. but maybe you're right</div></div>
I think they very easily would move off the guys I listed. Maybe not Binnington yet. But I would imagine if anyone was calling about Saad, Schenn (maybe), and Krug it wouldn't take a whole lot. I'd also imagine Hayes and Faulk could be had fairly reasonably. The issue with trading Parayko is it signals a full teardown. We can't rebuild a full defense in 5 years unless we get lucky and snag a #1D in the draft this next draft.
None become available via UFA, I guess you could trade for someone like Hanifin, but He's probably a #2/3.

Winnipeg is likely to call up Heinola, or trade for a defenseman, have Schmidt as the 7th defenseman, and figure out what to do with him in the offseason.

But it’s not that I am low on Savoie…it’s just that I don’t think Zergras would be sold at a discount since he has run into injury troubles this year. Same reason Sabres fans wouldn’t accept a discounted return on Cozens this year.</div></div>
So what if it’s his D+2 season??
He’s absolutely killing it. Are all the other D+2 guys doing what he’s doing in juniors? I think not
I didn’t say this would do it to get Zegras
We shouldn’t want to target Zegras anyways
We’re already loaded at forward & if we are gonna trade away any good prospects we have, it should be to fill specific roles/needs we have, not just bring in more of what we already have

Say Stanley+Lucius rather than Kuzmin+Lucius.

Going all in next year
Jets are flush with young forwards who have top-6 potential at the moment. Trading Ehlers in the offseason would likely have to be a hockey trade for an established RHD of similar value (and cap hit).

What is the best deal for Tanev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jets12Kozy</b></div><div>Don't see why sens would trade for him, also can't see Dallas offering stankoven</div></div>
Both Friedman and Dreger have reported the Sens being interested. Apparently, should he want to extend, they would bring him in this season to get used to the city and teammates so that they can hit the ground running next season.
He is the type of player they are looking for, a defensive def top 4 RD. Also a vet. The only downside is his age, but no one is signing him for 7-8 years.
They could also just be making him aware that they have interest to set some ground work for FA. But, they could also just not want to risk the FA market and make their play now.
I doubt he actually comes here, but I could see the interest from the Sens. And how many times have fans in here said "why trade away assets to get player x, when you can just get him for free in FA" Only to see that player sign an extension and never make it to FA.

I don't know what you're watching, but Monahan doesn't fix anything. He isn't a 2C on a playoff team. He's a marginal 4th liner on the Jets. Namestnikov is a far better 2C.
We know we don't agree, so we can just leave it at this.
The Jets are better off doing nothing, than throwing away assets on Monahan. Whatever team ends up with him will have a serious case of buyer's remorse.

No from Winnipeg. Monahan isn't an upgrade on anyone in Winnipeg's top 9 and isn't worth a 1st + to the Jets.
