Bones Why Are You Such A Dinosaur
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MisstheWhalers</b></div><div>You are right, Bones is wrong.
I just don't know how it's supposed to work with all three of Ehlers, Connor and Perfetti in the top six, having three similar players that are all on the smaller side isn't going to work even if they're skilled.
Any offense the 3rd line was generating has dried up and imo Nino is going to waste on that line so move him into the top six to inject some size on the 2nd line.
I'd try this:
Ehlers-Scheifele-Vilardi
Nino-Monahan-Nino
Iafallo-Lowry-Appleton
Barron Namestnikov-Perfetti</div></div>
^ even swap namestnikov and Appleton, let Perfetti center the 4th line

Demidov is a nasty hockey player oozing with skill definitely top 5 should be top 3, Lindstroms upside is too intriguing to pass on after the top 3 imo, I like Parekh but the transition to NHL could be tough for him, not as high on Catton as most are

Those wingers aren't growing on trees.
You want to play to win, you have to give something up.</div></div>
Well aware of that, put you're also not getting proven 22 year old with team control for 3 months of Guentzel, Lambert or Lucuis even Barkow and a pick would be much more realistic

Value can definitely be effected by a players likeliness to resign if they know he is re-signing in pitt they're not going to throw the wagon in for him but he still gets a 1st and good prospect as a 1 year rental imo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Flames1217</b></div><div>I see the appeal for Anderson from the Sabres perspective but I don't see the need for Kuzmenko.
I also don't see how the Sabres keep all three of centres going-forward as one of the three will want more ice somewhere else and the Sabres will need to plug their holes.
If the Flames end up trading everyone than I can see a deal to he had for Ras, if they want a quick retool I can't see him getting dealt. He is too important to the team.</div></div>
Ras was main piece I was looking to acquire, and the whole AGM was revolving around them apparently wanting to improve now therefore tried to get Kuzmenko in there too, I personally think BUF should be patient and stat the course they have an incredible pipeline

Too much
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Augustus</b></div><div>My own two cents: The Jets would not disrupt their team chemistry this way in any case, so the debate is moot :)
Any further actions by the Jets will be depth additions to help with injuries, banged up and bruised bodies in the playoffs that need fewer minutes, etc. This proposal represents a major change to the team that just doesn't make sense for them at this juncture, I think..
Plus whatever the Blues feel lol.
As an offseason move though, if things don't quite pan out this year, maybe Parayko would be a decent target, if they can match the price it would require.</div></div>
Don't think it disrupts anything for the jets Appleton does nothing for the 3rd line and Stanley has been in the press box and requested a trade last year

Too much
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>They're trading their only good defenseman in this situation to a division rival for 7 years mind you. I don't see a piece in there that would make a difference unless the 1st is a lotto pick which is unlikely. It's guaranteeing that the team is extremely uncompetitive for years. But yet they wont be able to bottom out unless they trade Thomas, Buchnevich and their goalies as well. Their ideal timeline isn't 5+ years. It's 2-3 as Faulk, Saad, Krug and Leddy's contracts tick down, along with Binningtons.</div></div>
Hmmm I just don't see that 2-3 year timeline, think Hofer, Snuggerud, Dvorsky, neighbors, Peru, buchinger primes while Thomas, kyrou etc are vets will be the next chance to make the push, they can sell off their current vets you listed and have some lottery years in between, rebuild the blue line. but maybe you're right

Not saying they would necessarily but Parayko doesn't fit the retool timeline and they could take advantage early and get paid a nice package for him instead of paying to dump him near the end of the contract or riding it out through the dog days
