NY Rangers Trade
I don't see why the Rangers say yes to this. Nichushkin has 7 points this year, with no goals, and only 23 career goals in 203 games, Hansson is 23 and still playing in Texas, which is sad because if you take one glance at the Stars blue-line, it isn't good, so he'll most likely never be an NHLer. Kreider on the other hand has 37 points in 48 games, and has been a solid 40-50 point guy his entire career. This trade makes no sense for New York

First of all, this is a piss poor proposal. Secondly, Kreider has no full clause

I can't see Dallas parting with either of them for Nelson unless he was guaranteed to re-sign. Even then I'm not sure Dallas would do that. I do think the pick should be higher than a 4th though

Islanders Trade
If Nelson for sure signs the extension, I'd do it if I were Dallas. Isles would at least consider it pretty hard, might depend on how close they stay in the playoff hunt though or if Lamoriello wants to stick to a rebuild plan not matter what. Value's pretty good though

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Karr31</b></div><div>Jim Nill is a big believer in depth down the middle, so I don't see the Spezza deal happening. This would have too big of an impact on the current roster, which is trending well. I imagine Spezza will play out his contract if the team continues to play well, and Dallas will look to replace the position after next season. The cap hit is too high to trade for the current production, and his value is still better than what would likely be offered in return, just like this offer. Most teams would likely offer 'pennies on the dollar' because the cap hit is so high for what his numbers have been, but I believe Nill will stay the course and hope the vet leadership alongside some decent numbers will take us deep into the playoffs...if not all the way....</div></div>
I pitched the idea of Spezza for Brouwer before, but the Stars buying Brouwer out in summer 2019. Total cap dollars incurred would be 7.5M for both teams, but Calgary gets one year of Spezza and out from Brouwer's contract sooner than a conventional buyout. Dallas gets 3M in savings next season to add another piece otherwise impossible with Spezza's contract. It's a surprisingly neat fit if Stars want to add something material soon (Karlsson, Tavares, etc.) and Calgary wants to move on from Brouwer (Cgy ownership hates buyouts)

68 points (40 of them goals) in 129 games, he hits, stands up for his teammates and is an agitator when he has a cap hit of 2 million. He's shown he can play with top level talent (McDavid) and get (almost 30 goals). I do think a lot of people or over hyping him but he can be extremely valuable. The 8 points in 13 playoff games doesn't hurt either

I would probably accept the deal in 9-10 years just so I can get Dickinson into the squad immediately (Plus he will be easier to handle in our future cap situation)!

Dallas Moves
I don't think Oshie is the best fit for a Hitchcock team given their history. Before he was traded, Oshie admitted that Hitch was overloading him with information and he didn't respond to that type of coaching. Also, seems odd to acquire a RD to play his off-side. If DAL goes after Tanev, would they possibly make a corresponding move to free up RD ice time? Trade value looks pretty fair to me.

The Tanev deal is junk for VAN. The difference between Tanev and Johns is not 2 spaces in a weak draft. NSH will probably just got 4-4 and risk losing someone. This just doesn't work for them.

Ekholm being moved from Nashville may be possible but the Preds have center depth and don't need Eakin. A top 6 winger and a 1st would make sense especially that it looks like NASH will lose Smith or Jarnkrok in expansion.

The draft board has been updated. Currently, Stars receive Sens 2nd rounder but that can change.

I think Boston would rather take 2 late first future picks than your failing prospects. You already got us once with Joe Morrow and Matt Fraser. Rask had a terrible year and was 15th or so in GAA and SAVE% for goalies with 50+ games. That was way better than Lehtonen.

Special Technology to see inside Nill's head
Value seems off for Maata and Flower. I think it would take more especially considering you are making them take on Kari.
It was a 1st + 3rd for Andersen; my guess it would take a 1st + Eakin + Kari + McKenzie + Oleksiak to get Maata and Flower.
