Hi. I decided the value of the contracts from evovling hockey's projections. Lyubushkin was actually projected at just over 850K. Sandin was 1.6M, and Liligren was 1.25.

They are getting two good prospects. Robertson can be a spectacular player soon. Aburzezee is going to be great too. They take on 1 terrible contract and one alright one and give up a pending UFA goalie, and a few picks. I think it's fair. If anything, the Coyotes win the trade.

They are going through a rebuild. That's what we said last year with Kuemper and Raanta leaving. They just develop new ones and get value for them. There is also FA. They have cap space.

How does it favour the leafs? Holtby is a FA after playing on DAL. And Lyubushkin isn't worth that much.

Evolving Hockey says Holtby 1.4x1, and Lyubushkin under 900K. I think mine Is fair

Sandin is going to be our #1 defenseman in the future. A backup aged 32 isn't nearly getting that.

According to Evolving Hockey, Holtby is most likely to get a 1.4Mx1 this offseason. I have 3 stretches with 66K in cap space left. Even a little more for each player can work.

LA is trying to compete. They already have the best prospect pool. A 1st rounder, 8th overall in a not-so-talented draft isn't gonna change their prospect pool so much.

Finding the missing pieces This is a versatile group

Maybe go for a guy like Killorn who has a M-NTC so it could be easier to trade for him. You also may need to throw in a pick or prospect to get Kuemper</div></div>
Gourde is canadian, maybe he wants to come to canada. Also, I think Kuemper doesn't want to resign in Arizona, so with one year left on the deal, I think dubas could pull it off.

Nah it is a 1.125M contract. We could trade it away if they won't take it.

Both could be in for hefty raises. Even if Campbell sucks next hear the leafs would still need to allocate a lot of cap space in their goalie position.</div></div>
Campbell sounds like a person who isn't gonna take 4M on his next contract. Also, I think unless the leafs trade Rielly this season, they either might let him walk or extend him. He said he is willing to take a paycut to stay with the leafs. Foligno's contract will open up 2M, the Phil Kessel retention will open up 1.25M, the salary cap has a chance at going up a little bit, and Liligren will save us a little amount of money.

Depth. You need depth. Engvall is a good bottom 6 player. He is fast and plays on the PK. You need those players.

1. Yeah, just a catchy thing I guess lol.
2. Players will not receive so much of a raise with the cap not going up. Unless they want to play on bad teams, they will not get what they want. Coleman for 3.5M is a bit too low but not so much of a pay cut. It is almost a 2M raise for him. And for Drieger, he is not worth over 3M imo, maybe a tiny bit more but not that much. Again, he won't get as much as he wants.

He is being scratched on a not-so-strong offence in Montreal. Also, with teams in cap issues with not much space, players will take less. Unless he wants to play for Detroit or an awful team like that, he will receive way less.
