looks like Grier’s goal is to block every chance for any of the prospect to make the club next year with BS depth players!
So far i’ve hated every move and now I’m missing DW and Jr!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>Lol..sure. They trade McGinn. I bet they don’t.
Marino, Kappy, A 1st and a 2nd. Way too much for Miller.
Rakell just signed or 5M for 6 years. 30M total.
They just gave Kappy his QO; 840K. He won’t get more than 2.25M even if he goes to an Arb hearing. I would say 1.75M-2M per.
No QO for Heinen. He’s a UFA. If they resign him it will under 2M for sure.
E-Rod walks. He had a hot 2 weeks; was bad the rest of the year. 2.3M per is crazy. I really hope he doenst get that in Pittsburgh. I think a team will pay him 2M-3.5M per though. I just hope it’s not here. Too much.
Geno is testing the free agent market now. They tried 6M for 4 years. He said no.
Him and Sid have shared the reins like 2 superstars barely ever have. As well as we ever seen, in any sport. That doenst mean he signs for 2.7M less than Sid. No chance. That would be a sign of disrespect. I can’t see him signing for anything less than 7M per or he’ll walk. And he’ll get that elsewhere. I would say they settle and he gets 7.2M for 3 years.</div></div>
Well see what happens I guess, I completely disagree on your take on the miller trade. a 99 point scorer doesn't come cheap

Tear Down and Tank
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>I like Connor Murphy’s size and physicality but if Pens resign Letang there is no need.
And to hold Poulin and Legare all this time just to trade when they are on the doorstep is alittle odd. Plus a 2nd round pick.
All be N.Legare was hurt a lot last season and Pens had alot of wingers playing well already with Nylander, Puustinen, Poulin, OConnor, Zohorna, Angello, Hallander, Bjorkqvist, Gruden so Legare is still probably a full AHL season away from competing for a NHL spot.
But with Dumo/Letang, Matheson/Marino, Pettersson/Ruhwedel (and Friedman and POJ) no need for Murphy. And that’s a hefty price in my opinion too.</div></div>
Legare IMO would be the variable piece in this proposal. The foundation for me would be Poulin and the 2nd but I feel for what Murphy can bring its a little shy of the value.
But yes you would have to require Murphy for this to be a factor indeed.

Pens Off-season - based on Hextalls comments
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>McGinn isn’t going anywhere.
I could definitely see Kappy and one of Pettersson or Dumoulin traded though.
I think the Pens are stuck with Zucker as well. And I’m a Zucker fan; just a bad string of injuries and can’t stay healthy. But I see a lot of Pens fans on here trading him. Maybe at the Trade deadline he gets moved at 50% retention.
Pens definitely resign more RFA as well. They resign RFA Heinen, they resign RFA Nylander. Definitely resign RFA Cam Lee, definitely resign RFA Bjorkqvist as well. Probably UFA Angello and Boyle for league min too.
But all of those RFA(except Heinen) will be for just their QO.</div></div>
1. I don't think mcginn it is very likely mcginn gets traded, but I just think it isnt worth it to be paying him 2 mil more than Puustinen and Poulin. I would much rather have a number of guys like domi, paul, mikkeyev. crouse ect who would cost only a little more.
2. I am also a zucker fan, it took a lot of balls to play through what he played through in the playoffs. I think he is a legit middle 6 player too, when healthy. I think this guy is a competitor and he will come to camp ready to go. I do not see the point of trading him if you are going to retain, sure he isn't worth 5.5, but he is surely worth 2.75. When healthy he is much much better than mcginn, heck he might have been better than mcginn while injured and he was being held together by duct tape and elmers glue
3. I completely agree that they resign more rfa as well. I just only went through signing the ones who I had in the lineup for game 1. The only resigning I would maybe disagree with would be boyle. I love the guy, but I think it may be time for him to hang em up. Don't get me wrong, he exceeded my expectations more than any other player this year, but I just think he had some heavy boots before his injury and I wonder if he has what it takes to come back

What holy mess is this?
No 1st with Marino for Miller
If you are going to retain om Zucker there is zero reason to trade him. He is point production issues but he is a very good hockey player. Cap relief is the only reason to move him so retaining 50% makes it moot.
Poolman $2.5Mx3 <<<< Zucker $5.5Mx1
Pens offer:
Miller for Marino, 3rd

8 years is the max. 7 years is max if it is with a UFA that played with a different team the prior year. Since his extension doesn’t kick in until next year, pens can sign to an 8 year deal. And I’ve not heard that they’ve changed the rules on teams allowing others to negotiate extensions for players they intend to trade for.

I would trade Dumo over Pettersson. It’s a bit more cap relief and I think keeping Pettersson would make Rakell more likely to stay since they are good friends.

This is a massive overpay for Malkin. We could get Gaudreau for a little over that. It's an issue when our centers are going to be 35, 36, and 38 next year. Need some youth.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>U think he signs for more than 7M at 6 seasons?? Thats the top range I think. Maybe 7.5M. But 7M at 6 years is a 42M total contract. Huge contract for an NHL wing. He’s not a center.
But I’ll go 7.5M tops. You are probably right. So let’s say 7M-7.5M for 5-6 seasons. I’d be super surprised at more.
Some people are saying Rust at 6.5M-7M for 5-6 seasons. Too much.</div></div>
I guess I'm looking at Forsberg as one of two major options on the market. He's currently making $6 mil, and is in the process of breaking every offensive single season record that the Preds have. I'd assume it's at least 6 years, and anywhere from $7-8 AAV. Honestly, gotta think the Preds will be pushing hard to keep him.
