Bonino minor trades
Doesn't help Nashville at all. They'd much rather pay a good 3rd line center 4 million, than pay there 5th dman 4 million. And you have them retaining on Bonino. The value is fair. But Nashville isn't looking for a 4 million dollar 5th Dman, like at all...

Bonino minor trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Yinz3r</b></div><div>4 million for a bottom 6 forward < 4 million for a top 4-6 dman that can play big minutes. NSH retains a little because Maatta is better for what he provides but and Nashville have better young players to take bonino's place. you're a hawks fan so i know you wouldn't know what good contracts look like or are supposed to look like when you have players like toews and saad.</div></div>
You do realize that your stated purpose of the trade is basically Nashville will have a hard time extending Josi with a 3C making so much money right? The solution to that isn't let trade the 3C away while retaining some money and taking on an even more expensive 5D. You're trade makes Nashville's cap situation worse and for longer. Instead of 4.1M tied up in Bonino through end of 20-21 season, we now would have 4.5M tied up in Maatta throuh end of 21-22 season. Not to mention we have Hamhuis as a 5D and so far he's showing he's still capable of 2nd pairing minutes, Allard on deck in MIL, Y. Weber who is a pretty good 6D for the money, and Fabbro should he sign. If Bonino were traded, it'd be for purely futures return (picks/prospects) but that won't happen until we need the capspace. Earliest that happens is when Josi extension comes due but due to the expansion draft the year after I believe we'll be trading a Subban in the next offseason or two.

what if I gave you personally $500? Could be a nice bonus around the holidays. All you have to do is just have Jack Johnson on your team for awhile. That's all. You can do a lot with $500 yanno. Fine I'll give you $750. Please, I'm begging you.

Trade with STL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MadmanFromMadison</b></div><div>Why does St.Louis do this?</div></div>
Because Rutherford uses Jedi mind tricks when working trades.
Actually, St. Louis wouldn't do this.

Winnipeg won't trade Morrissey they like him and definietly won't take on more money if they do trade him as Laine, Trouba, Connor, Myers, and Tanev are all UFA or RFA this summer
I agree with previous comment about the Carolina trade.

Simply commenting so I can find this again since "Custom" rosters don't show up in Armchair GM History. I'll likely add more details to how I selected my roster.

Yikes- 2 huge trades
As a Wild fan, this is an awful trade. We have a history of going after aging goal scorers and while Kessel is a fantastic player, I hope we stay as far away from him as we can. Trading Dumba alone would have to mean we are getting an absolute stud 20-23 year old in return, which you have not done here, and you added even more on top of Dumba. This is massively favored for Pittsburgh. The Wild are trading a 26 year old 30+g/60+p winger, a 23 year old potential future Norris defenseman who could easily pot 20+ goals, and a very good 21 year old with 60p upside for a 31 year old 90p winger who probably only has a few years left in the tank, a meh winger, and a defenseman who Pittsburgh fans have been b*tching about constantly on this site, and a measly 4th. No thanks. If we gave up this much, I'd be asking for someone like Eichel and that's never happening. There is nothing Pittsburgh has that I would be willing to give up this much for. Not even Crosby.

I like it!
Basing it off Colliton's love affair with Kahun and Kampf together. He has also shown a desire to skate Hayden with Anisimov.

Anaheim Trade Again
Both teams decline.
In that ANA trade, you're getting two very good players, with one of them still having room for improving since being a young player. Montour has value close to Nylander, not a bunch of scraps that pretty much every single PIT fan wants to get rid of (based on the trades on this site at least 90% of them contains trade involving either Määttä and Sprong or both of them).
ANA already have a good load of LHDs (Lindholm, Fowler, Pettersson, Larsson), so Määttä is unnecessary for them... Sheahan is a 4C with not that much value and Sprong, well, doesn't fit to the roster, they already have the young options ready to play the wing.
If you want to get quality, you need to also give quality.
Also DAL won't move Faksa without a nice overpayment. That guy is underrated soldier on the ice. Very good defensive forward. Every team will at some point see the impact of losing a great two-way player before a mediocre playmaker, even if the playmaker might have a little better numbers on the board...
