Mangiapane is 26… and the way you’re playing right now that pick isn’t going to be anything high unless something drastic happens with that team and lysell is a good up in coming player so it’s like a good prospect and a low to medium prospect for mangiapane who could be a consistent 20- 30 goal player and he has term

I’m saying when he was in our top six he had 70 point pace as a rookie that’s not nothing

He was playing with lucic and little ice time and he didn’t play for 10 straight games because Darryl scratched him so he was rusty but when he was playing on the top line he was great he created space, okay pace for a big guy okay hands for a big guy and he can throw the body and he has a long reach so he can poke pucks away or have a good chance for a better pass and his pass speed is okay’s his defensive is lacking but he’s like a younger version of lucic

BOTTOM SIX did you not see how he performed on the top line with lindholm and toffoil he was on 70 point pace as a rookie I’m not even lying but Darryl put him on the 4th line and he hasn’t been the same since

The owners will be in win mode if they make the playoffs and dube and hanifin aren’t old they are actually young and probably about to enter their primes dube is 24 and hanfin is 25 and could definitely be a top pairing with power for a bit and dube can be on the top line with tage and skinner and that would be disgusting so I don’t know why you think this is a unfair trade if you want to win now then you have to give up young players and that deal is good if you are thinking on age you guys can do this deal lock up dube and hainfin without worrying about them falling off any time soon because they are in there mid 20’s I could’ve given you toffoil for one of those players and that’s a bad trade age wise.

Hanifin is a okay defender he is definitely a top two defender on most teams and dube is only 24 he’s having a great year on a otherwise struggling offence side for the flames and top line of him tage and skinner or another good goal scorer would be nasty and for the return if the sabres make the playoffs this year I think the owners will want to win know and this isn’t like trading young guys for vets it’s trading young guys for players who are entering their primes but they are both on expiring contracts after the 2023 2024 season so I don’t know and the Carolina return seems fair a vet for another slightly younger player and some defensive help and a first for our leading goal scorer isn’t bad

His contract is up next year and he’s definitely asking for 9 at least and you already had to give up you’re captain because of the cap and the Canucks are rebuilding so how are you going to pay him and even if you do pay him then how the hell are you going to pay Quinn huges and with that price tag on petterson he might just walk for nothing so ether you lose one of you’re best scorers for nothing, you get robbed in a trade for him because you have no leverage, or you pay him and lose your best defender for nothing or not what he’s valued at.

You can't just draft a good defensive player, especially without a 1st rounder this season. Lundell is one of the few exceptions of a player who came into the league with an already pretty strong defensive game</div></div>
With the new stuff going on with Bally sports the cap might not go up a lot so that’s a problem and you didn’t understand my message I was trying to say draft a kid who’s got serious upside to be a good defender also if the cap isn’t going up a lot and duclair has an extra year then what happens if he has a breakout year he’s definitely asking for 6.5+ minimum for at least 5 years that’s over 27-28 million in a almost flat cap change year with knight and lundell still having to be paid. Knight especially

Florida is kinda in Calgary’s situation with a few differences Florida has a bunch of big cap hits and you have duclair who’s going to want a payday and knight and Lindell and they already have massive cap hits in players for Matthew and barkov and duclair is going want at least 5 million for a few years so that’s 24 million at least for 3 players with more players expecting big paydays and the team has no real direction just like the flames and also the panthers really need defensive players like badly so take a cap dump call it a lost season draft a good defensive player in the draft and use the three million to get some good defensive help and they get a second that could be a late first depending on what the flames do which could be a defensive gem and we are retaining cap how do you not take it

Because one his starting offer is at least 9.5 million dollars and he will probably ask for 10 million so no one has the space for him except for bad teams and nhl teams are basically the opposite of nba teams they hate trading picks and prospects and because only bad teams can get timo without giving up a large amount of their core the sharks would ask for a first round pick this year that could very easily be top 5 in this draft and that could turn out too be a player that could be better then timo and they would have to give up decent prospects just too get him too pay him 1/8th of you’re cap? That’s why not a lot of teams want to spend a lot for timo and honestly it’s the same for karlsson

Sutter isn’t playing the young guys he forgot what Pelletier’s number is and he read his stat sheet in front of the media and basically embarrassed him and Pelletier actually played good almost had a good chance and got benched for no reason he only played for 6 minutes in the whole game the same thing basically happened with matty Phillips earlier in the year now what if you’re zary or Coronato looking at that u know you’re probably not playing a lot under that coach so they will just leave.

As for this season a rental is the best bet.</div></div>
After tonight I don’t think it will work with young players and we need to start fixing this problem before Coronato comes and before Pelletier, zary, and wolf leaves

It's not about cap space at this point, its about paying a player you don't need/want. They wouldn't willingly do you a favour for free.
Philips is 24 (6th round player, by the way) with 3 NHL games played total, he's not a "good prospect", he's a player that can barely crack an NHL roster.
Similar situation with Duehr.
Dube's career high is 32pts. No idea where you think he's a 50pt player.
DET doesn't even consider ANY Larkin trade unless it's a 1st+</div></div>
Philips is fast good shot the only reason why he hasn’t played is because of the coach that’s legit the only reason and hey mangiapane was 24 when he started hell he was on the fourth line and now look at him 30 goal scorer like that could be matty and also for the lucic trade just assume that it’s a deadline deal so they would already be out of contention so it would only have to be for 20 something games and lucic might actually help he’s not that good and kylingtion is still away but he’s a okay offensive defender and he’s still somewhat young

And the Larkin trade I’m trading you a at least 50 point player in dube a okay role player in Coleman ( not worth his contract) but whatever and a good prospect in matty Phillips yeah sure maybe a first not this year tho if I’m giving up a first with that then it’s a 24 first or two seconds
