All Mn Wild former draft picks
My favorite part about this ACGM is the people who clearly didn't read the title or the description to figure out this isn't actual trade proposals and is just a list of who's currently in the NHL that was drafted by the Wild. Unless they think OP is suggesting a 27 man roster with $115m salary cap is viable..

Flyers absolutely accept that. But that's an overpay on Minnesota's part.

I think most rational Wild fans have seen him as expendable for a loooong time. There's someone who keeps making accounts here and getting banned who has said Greenway is untouchable (and the same about Dumba) so that may be what you're thinking of.

Minnesota declines easily. So does marc Andre Fleury. Fleury isn't waiving and Minnesota will not have lesser of a G situation. It's always been 1a , 1b

After the signing

Maybe. I think if the AAV is gonna go that high then the term is gonna be longer, 2.5 is too high on a bridge for me. Thinking the Skinner deal as the comp and that was Kaapo’s 2nd contract after his ELC.
I do think there is an incentive for Gus to take a lower cost bridge that gets him to UFA where he can cash in on playing.

Dumba is a 3.5M defenceman. 1st rounder will never happen for him. A 3rd and a 2nd are an overpayment.

Can the Wild get a top 10 pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MeetYourMakar</b></div><div>I'm not sure Dumba gets a 1st. If there was a team, maybe the Leafs. Not sure how you would turn those rentals into a top 10 pick. Maybe the best bet is your own pick. If there was an extention with either of those guys then chances would increase.</div></div>
The premise of this is that the team itself is bad enough where the Wild's 1st is top 10. Not that one of these players returns a top 10.
Neither Dumba nor Gaudreau return a 1st, and most definitely not a top 10 1st.

TBF. Sending one of the firsts, either the 19th or 24th, plus a prospect like Beckman or Hunt would make a lot of sense for a guy like Dach.

I'd much rather give up Addison. It doesn't seem like Dean trusts Addison enough to develop him properly but he should still have decent value.

Not sure, I'd rather have Gauthier since I think his offensive ceiling was higher but if I'm being totally honest I don't think he'll ever be the player Fiala is (or anybody in that's projected to go around that pick). I think you're right though, if Ottawa offers that pick and NJ isn't willing to part with Holtz/2 OA/Mercer, I'd bet he ends up on the Sens.

I like Holtz, but this franchise has <em>never</em> had a long-term solution for a top line center and Fiala is the best asset we've ever had to try to get one. Personally I think trading him for a winger is a mistake

Potential Fiala Bids V2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Remember an offer sheet of $7.5M is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Many of these are substantially more than that.</div></div>
The other thing I just realized is that an offer sheet is straight pick. No conditions. And it would be the 23 pick.
Of teams like NJD or OTT want to protect their 1st, which I would bet they do, they can’t offer sheet. All these little rules change the cost one way or the other. The biggest thing driving up the Fiala move is that he is the most affordable (relative to other options, he’s not gonna be cheap, I know) goal scorer available. Lots of teams want to make the next step that all have good pieces to put in play for him and it’s not like you’re trading for a guy that turns 30 next year. DeBrincat is the premier guy and some team that figures out how to get him is gonna be very happy. But Fiala just works for more teams.
