Nice deal for the Wild, I think. For a guy who's having a massive down year, this is good value.
Sabres take a swing at a young-ish power forward type who scored close to 0.5 p/gp in the past. A bit pricey, but not a bad get.

He'll bounce back in Buffalo. It's not like he's the only player who's had a down year in Minnesota. and that 2nd will be late too.

Win-win deal, I think - Buffalo needs stronger defense all around, and gets a strong defensive forward. The cap hit isn't ideal but if there's any team that really doesn't care about a slightly overpaid deadline addition, it's Buffalo.

Minnesota gets a nice return for a player, Buffalo gets a very useful player. I'd call it fair deal, leaning Minnesota. Buffalo filled a need and paid a fair deadline price for it.

Can see Buffalos point in trying to do a reclamation with him as you cant teach size and before he developed this fumble the puck off your skates every time it is passed to you routine he was looking pretty promising.

I like this, I’d be nice to have a checking line with some edge. Something the Sabres don’t do well is physical play. I late second and a 5th round round pick are magic beans that may or may not even play in the NHL. So we have something tangible that fills a minor need. Sad part is, our biggest need, Defence and Goaltending was not addressed! Hopefully at the Draft or off season

Unnecessary addition. Our forward group is fine, our D core needs help. The value is alright, but imo a bit high for a guy who has never proven hes more than a 3rd liner. Where will he even fit in the lineup? Who will we scratch?

Probably wanted Foligno instead over paid for Greenway.
Niederreiter, Eller, Granlund, were all better values for a 2nd.
Probably will play on the top line, which tells me Tuch's injury is much worse than reported.

Minnesota wins the trade.

If you take out the 2nd round pick, it's more fair.
