When you add on 3 high draft picks and 2 other players plus taking on a cap dump this trade is ridiculously weighted in Toronto's favour.</div></div>
I didn't realize how long Kampf is signed for, sheesh. As an Arizona/Utah fan, I want no part of Marner, the Coyotes already have enough small-ish skilled guys.

Sens gave up a 1st and 2 2nds for Chychrun at the 2023 deadline. That was with 2 more years at an extremely team friendly deal left. I don't think the price is far off but a 1st + a 3rd is a decent starting place for a Chychrun trade this offseason.

That first Arizona trade is horrible. Schmaltz is a worse player than Marner in ever possible way. If you think Marner shies away from physical contact, Schmaltz will make him look like prime Mark Messier.

Would something like Soderstrom + 25 1st (top 3/5 protected) work? I doubt the Coyotes would be willing to give up a 24 1st rounder so it's either 25 1st with some conditions or like 4/5 second rounders.

Would gladly take him over DeAngelo. Doesn't mean I'd want Kesselring to be a full time 3rd pairing guy come playoff time but they need to upgrade their defense in more drastic ways than just adding a 3rd pairing guy. They need to find someone to fit in the top 4, whether it's just a rental or for the long term.

That Maccelli - McBain - Crouse line was great towards the end of the season last year. No reason not to start them together this year. One of the nice things about only running 11 forwards is you can easily give guys a shift off and shuffle the lines on the fly.

I don't think Forbort and especially Gryz are negative assets. Not saying you will get a whole lot for either guy but to say they're both negative assets feels like a stretch.

If Reilly goes unclaimed, then how does McAvoy play tonight? I think that Reilly gets moved then the backend isn't nearly as well built out as originally thought, unless you believe in Stralman or Renouf.
Lindholm - McAvoy
Gryz - Carlo
Forbort - Clifton
Zboril - Stralman? Renouf?

There's no chance he'd replace Dobson, but Pulock is a different type of D-Man on the PP if I'm not mistaken. Ghost would be the facilitator up top while Pulock is looking for the one timer on his offside.

quick re tool in a perfect world
Couple of notes on the Boston trade:
* I'm not entirely sure if Coyle would have Vancouver on his 10-team NTC but I don't think he would want to move. He can see the writing on the wall that if either Bergeron or Krejci are down/retired then he gets solid top 6 minutes with very good wingers.
* Boston loves Carlo, but Carlo has said he's probably one more bad concussion away from retiring. I think because of that he's far more valuable to Boston than to any other team as you wouldn't want to give up prime assets for a guy who could play one shift for you and retire.
* I don't doubt the Bruins would've had interest in Miller if he made it to free agency, but I doubt they'd want to trade for him after the extension. Without many prospects that are of value (see Mitchel Miller signing), they're likely waiting to see which centers make it to free agency. If Horvat makes it there I'm guess they'd make a hard push for him then.

If Samsonov ends up having value to be worth signing for 5 years, he doesn't settle for $3mil through his prime years.</div></div>
As a Coyotes fan:
Boyd is worth AN asset. A late 3rd or a 4th probably, but not what OP suggested.
Crouse trade is an overpay. Could probably return a 1st this year plus a B level prospect but doubt Coyotes move him.

Don't think the Coyotes will move Boyd or Fischer as both want to be there at this time. Ritchie probably gets flipped for a pick at the TDL but if you were strictly talking about dumping Kap, then Ritchie for Kap n a pick could be done. Retain 50% on Ritchie to make it that much more interesting as well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan_Ollivier</b></div><div>Crouse sucks, and moving two good 3rd liners for some 4th liners doesn't make the 3rd liner better. When Nick Ritchie is as good of a player as he is, you know Crouse isn't that good.</div></div>
it's like some people have never watched a Coyotes game in their life. Crouse won't get moved, there's been no rumors or leaks of his name out there.

Bruins make a move
I don't honestly believe Smith and Reilly are good players/worth the contracts they are commanding right now.
I can understand not wanting Ghost because of McAvoy, Lindholm, and Gryz (and frankly I'd trust Krejci up top if they wanted to run a 5 Forward unit at times), but I can't see them hanging onto Smith and Reilly. Maybe they'd have value at half their current salary.
Greer has been better than Smith so far this year and Reilly has largely disappointed in my viewings. I'm excited to see what Waissmann can do and think he deserves a shot at some point.
So maybe instead of the bigger trade it's just Smith and/or Reilly attached w an asset for a late round pick/future considerations? Or maybe the Bruins can bring good ole Josh Brown back into the fold as that 7th/8th pairing defenseman.
