Arizona currently is 5th in the NHL in PP% so doubt they're looking at PP specialist.

Fair enough but is Kesselring a playoff 3rd pairing D man?

I do say this with respect, sometimes doesnt come across on a message board…but what trades on here do you like? Do you think the Canes have the depth needed to win a championship?

These are honest question, because I think we are one injury away at F/D/G from thrusting players we can’t count on into every game.

Walker seems like an unnecessary splurge. We already have the best top 6 and walker isn’t so much of an improvement over Chatfield to get. Although someone will definitely offer more based on his peripherals.

Kahkonen improve the team? He is a pretty meh goalie. Depth is good so this is a maybe.

Henrique’s peripherals aren’t good. is he a center worth changing the rental philosophy for? Nah not really.

Trading tda is whatever at this point.

Get true cheap depth guys or shoot for non rental good goalie or 2c.

Unless you’re breaking the bank for Lindholm, no 2C’s are available. Same for Goalies.

I would honestly like to hear the targets you’d look at.

Would gladly take him over DeAngelo. Doesn't mean I'd want Kesselring to be a full time 3rd pairing guy come playoff time but they need to upgrade their defense in more drastic ways than just adding a 3rd pairing guy. They need to find someone to fit in the top 4, whether it's just a rental or for the long term.

the BEST top 6 in the league is pretty arguable this year. Canes, Vegas, Boston, Colorado all have 6 great dmen. And then Flames Rangers and Tampa have a great top 4. Could be missing some

he has looked very solid on D -he is 5pts/+5 in 9 games taking over for injuries. lets be honest outside dumba (been worst D on team) no one on blueline has playoff experience really. i think team (not players of course) would be happy in this stage of the rebuild just to get to the playoffs and build on that for next years to come.

Walker has played well this year and is one of few RHD rentals available that can play 20+ mins a night and generate offense and hold his own defensively. Historical trades can put his value around 2nd + prospect or 1st rounder. They’d probably keep him and re-sign him instead

Thanks for the feedback Mr/Ms Jabroni. I think he’s a good depth pickup for a cup contending team.

For sure, he’s got a lot of versatility. He’s eager to jump up on the forecheck, but doesn’t get out of position to do so. Strong along the boards and is good with zone exits. I’d like to see PHI sign him back in 2024, even if they trade him
