<em>Less than nothing!</em> CBJ fans, correct me if I’m wrong but getting rid of that contract (despite an ok playoffs) would be good for the team.

My thought is that Wennberg has negative value. This assumes CBJ doesn’t want to pay the real dollars to buy Wennberg out themselves.

I understand why you’d want to move Drouin. Chicago wouldn’t make that deal however, even if it were 1 for 1.

He should have been brought back. I wouldn't even care what sacrifices would need to be made going forward. He and Kane were a joy to watch. Even if we had the same record, I wouldn't care - it was much more enjoyable watching those two than the bromance Stromincat

Sort by every underlying defensive metric. The Avalanche are never worse than middle of the pack and often a top 12 defensive team. On HNIC the other night Sportsnet posted rankings for the defensive woes of the Blackhawks:
31st - Slot attempts against
31st - Cross Ice pass attempts against
31st - Chances given up off the cycle
How are we ending this ego battle again? Oh, right... nice try though.
Bottom line: Lehner would outperform Francouz in Colorado. No one with any hockey sense would think otherwise. I look forward to you trying your best to win this inane argument.

Robin Lehner: 32GP, 2.92GAA, .921sv% - $5M
Even if you retain 50% it's still 2.5 times more for almost the same production, and the Avs would be losing out on Newhook who will be better than Strome and they throw in a 1st?
LOL keep dreaming.</div></div>
Now imagine Lehners numbers not playing for a bottom 3 defense. Nice try though.

These underlying numbers, could you link something? I don't go deep into fancy stats but looked at Gus' 5v5 SF% the other day and it is quite good. Excuse the mild amount of doubt I have in your statement. Thanks.

To be fair, you can just as easily rebuild around 21/22 year olds as you can 18 year olds. Debrincat and Strome are rebuild worthy pieces. You can hold your opinion that you wouldn't trade a top 5 pick for that package, fine, but pretending the offer was made without considering the rebuilding state of the Sens is unjust. It's not like I tried prying away that pick with Patty Kane or something...
Best of luck in the draft, should be a good one for you guys. <3

I am very interested as a Hawks fan. Doubt it would be until the offseason (if ever) and would need to be more painful (more treasured assets) than this offering.

You don't trade a #8OA 1 year removed, 1 year from the NHL and who's been elite in the juniors PLUS a early 2nd round pick for the #5OA pick in the current draft. That is WAY over paying...sorry. Every year fans get caught up in the latest media hype around the draft.</div></div>
Your credibility is shot anyway. You think Gus, Beaudin 2020 1st, gets you 5OA.
