Next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>He's a big question mark. Hope he gets better.</div></div>
For some reason his first year, when he played 10 or so games at the end of the season, I hated him. No reason why, I just did. However after the year he had last year he became one of my favorite defenders. Nothing amazing about him but he is a very solid, reliable, and smart player. I can't even imagine how the defense would've been with him this year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>All-star means nothing anymore. John Scott was an all-star. Couturier is a Selke finalist and I would say is more valuable than Seguin so it would take a whole lot to pry him away from Philly.</div></div>

He's just stating that Klingberg is an all-star and a good fit for Dallas. That's not downplaying Couturiers ability.

Nothing new for Dallas prospects

EDM trade from CHI perspective
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Yeah, this isn't a realistic EDM/CHI trade from the CHI point of view. I'm not trying to intentionally overplay who Debrincat is, but he's still VERY under-rated. Random stat for the day...Debrincat 66 goals in his 1st TWO seasons ( 12 games left too! ) ....Patrick Kane had 76 goals in his 1st THREE seasons. Mitch Marner has 65 goals in his THIRD season. Goal scoring/Play Making/defense...you need it all to win and every player is different, but the point is the sky's the limit for this kid and he ALMOST never plays with Kane or Toews or like Marner plays with Tavares or last year Matthews. I'm actually kinda scared at what his contract might be.</div></div>
No knock on Debrincat cause he's amazing and I'm jealous he's on the Hawks but 33% of the time he's out on the ice with Toews and 24% with Kane. Still he could carry his own line easily.
Just checked 2017-18 and he was with Kane less than 15% of his (Debrincats) total ice time. That was as a rookie too... impressive

Stacking the offense
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>So you're saying Burakovsky is worth 2M AAV, and is the 1st line left wing on your stacked dream team.
Good luck with that.
Seven points in his last ten games, fwiw: <a href="https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/b/burakan01/gamelog/2019/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/b/burakan01/gamelog/2019/</a>
Cogliano has three, in his last ten, and is eight years older.
As a counteroffer, what about Burakovsky and Dowd for Faksa?</div></div>
Are you saying Burakovsky will command more or less than $2mil AAV?

Kovi
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>J_Sand3rs</b></div><div>Why do people want to trade for a 35-year old with 3 years left on his deal? Kovi is essentially producing Spezza like numbers (not great at all), and you want to take on any of his cap hit for the next 2 years? Who needs young NHL ready prospects, when we can keep signing all of these old forwards? This seems like a wonderful strategy. I would take Gurianov/Hintz/Robertson/Dellandrea/L'Esperance in the lineup over a 35-year old Kovalchuk every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.</div></div>
This is armchair GM so it's just for fun. Also Honka is no longer a young NHL ready prospect. He may turn into a solid NHLer but that's not happening on the Stars. The only reason I'd even consider Kovi is because I'd like to see him with Radulov and it's a lot easier for the Stars to get Kovi than for the Kings to get Rads

NY Rangers Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nhlpengs</b></div><div>I don't see why the Rangers say yes to this. Nichushkin has 7 points this year, with no goals, and only 23 career goals in 203 games, Hansson is 23 and still playing in Texas, which is sad because if you take one glance at the Stars blue-line, it isn't good, so he'll most likely never be an NHLer. Kreider on the other hand has 37 points in 48 games, and has been a solid 40-50 point guy his entire career. This trade makes no sense for New York</div></div>
Stars blue line isn't good... they're 4th in the league in GA/GP

My bad. Honestly didn't know he was your captain and besides Dallas being in a wildcard/3rd in central I don't check standings for other teams. I removed that trade so this can be a little more realistic.

I can't see Dallas parting with either of them for Nelson unless he was guaranteed to re-sign. Even then I'm not sure Dallas would do that. I do think the pick should be higher than a 4th though
