Do you even know who Ziemmer and Mackinnon are? Other than Lindgren who will no doubt not play a healthy 82 games which player traded makes this seem like not a Rangers fan???
Please don’t tell me you a Vesey fan boy, cause you can get any top forward AHL to fill in his spot. Plus wouldn’t you rather make space for a Cuylle or Othmann??? Why waste a lineup spot for a guy who won’t hit defend teammates or has any future upside?

Vesey is the equivalent of any AHL teams best forward. What this team needs is a 4th liner who can hit and defend teammates. If your team NEEDS the 4th line RW to score goals to win games you got serious top 9 problems.

No the Hawks are on a rebuild a player like Goodrow can play anywhere in that lineup. Plus you need a guy who is willing to stand up for the young CB.
The Rags would rather buy him out than trade away a 1st round pick.

Highly unlikely they ever trade Lindgren. Probably better than Lauzon and you’d piss Fox off</div></div>
Lindgren is going to be an injury riddled over paid D-man within two season or less. Lauzon is younger and can actually fight not just get beat up and bleed like Lindgren.
I can’t see Kane signing for less than 5 million. One of the greatest players of this generation.

Fixed the lines not sure why it didn’t save the first time. I think Tanner Jeannot is the gem in this trade. He’s a throw back player shades of Shayne Corson.

Max retention with the 1st taken out of the deal (and not replaced with anything equivalent) is honestly more realistic.</div></div>
I posted something similar where the Rangers traded a 2nd rounder for BB and got ripped by a nucks fan. I honestly don’t get to see Vancouver games like that, so I’ll take your word for it. I’d love to take that package to SJ for Meier but not sure if that gets it done.

I think you’d get more out of the trade if JG went to a team in need of a big banging forward who isn’t exactly a heavyweight but will stand up for his teammates. The penguins come to mind even the leafs. Could probably get a 3rd or 2nd if there’s salary retention.

It takes homegrown talent or it doesn’t happen. Given your ability to insult others for political beliefs that were never even brought up, I have no interest continuing this conversation. Sounds like you are the kid insulting people on here. Have a nice day.</div></div>
Before you were born back in 1994 the Rangers won the Stanley Cup. They did so by making a ton of trades, basically mortgaging the future. One of the first trades they made was trading away David Shaw for Beaukeboom. Then they traded Turcotte and James Patrick for Steve Larmer. Then they signed Adam Graves losing Troy Mallette as compensation, then traded away Bernie Nichols, Prospect Steven Rice, and Louie Debrusk for a guy named Mark Messier. Then they traded Tony Amonte for Matteau and Noonan, Doug Weight for Tikkanen, and Marchant for Craig MacTavish. Then Domi and King for Eddie O. So what were you saying about teams not winning cups based off trades???
The homegrown talent you were referring too was Brian Leetch, Alex Kovalev who by the way didn’t hit his potential with the Rangers, Zubov who by the way didn’t hit his potential with the Rangers, and Mike Richter. As I mentioned before Goalies withstanding the rangers struggle developing prospects. The one player they “Homegrown” to his maximum potential was Brian Leetch. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Listen I am not looking to argue or fight as I hope you take this as a learning moment. This site is a fantasy site for me in which fans give their opinions of how to better their team. I don’t call people anything negative until they first call me something negative. Otherwise I am very polite and hopefully this information helps you.

If that’s what you call 3 prospects a guy who’s got 1 goal, an ECHL goalie, and a guy who can’t make either the AHL or ECHL. In the future before you write something and sound stupid there’s a great website to reference from called Hockeydb.com check it out. Cheers mate your welcome !

Are you ok? Smith is playing in the NHL with the NJ Devils Staal is playing in the NHL with the Fla. Panthers. I am talking about some veteran lead ship for the AHL farm team. The Hershey Bears gave him the C so obviously they feel he has some experience and leadership skills. I really don’t mind helping new hockey fans, especially you young kids who are trying to grasp the basic common sense of hockey.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HOCKEYBOY448</b></div><div>The delusion behind adding Kane makes this team a cup contender is ridiculous. Chytil is performing and only getting better. Kane is on the decline and you’re paying for what he’s done not what he can do. I stand by my original comment this trade is just bad for the Rangers. Try exercising some patience, it might actually get us somewhere. Halfbaked knee jerk trades have been the death of this team for the past decade. Teams typically don’t win without they’re own homegrown talent playing pivotal roles. Just adding rentals does nothing. I think you are the Islander fan if you rationally made the trade above.</div></div>
I agree with you 100% but this is the Rangers. We have an issue outside of goaltending, developing “homegrown” talent. It’s only a matter of time before Lafreniere asks for a trade just like Lias Andersson, Lundkvist, and Kravtsov. We have a #1 and #2 overall playing zero PP time and getting 3rd line minutes. JT Miller wasn’t JT Miller as we know until we traded him for Hajek. Ryan Graves, Duclair, Jonathan Marchassault, all solid players the Rangers could not develop. So yes I’d rather move a couple young pieces who don’t stand a chance of making the lineup anyway and who probably won’t develop under this system to reunite Kane and Panarin. Chytil gets hurt every other game he won’t last a round in the playoffs playing a team like Boston or the Capitals.

It’s tough to see Kane in anything other than a Hawks jersey. But at this point in his career does he want to be part of a rebuild ? Trading Debrincat and giving up on Dach so early. Hawks should have done everything they could to keep Panarin with Kane.
