Even Bordeleau would be a non-starter for SJ (not for just Dvorak at least). I think a deal centered around Weisblatt is fair.

Think this is close to fair, but probably also favors the Yotes a bit given what they can flip Labanc into if they play him the way they played Garland with heavy OZ starts.
Dvorak is more of a 3C that was a PP specialist in 2021 than he is a top 6 guy and I think being way overvalued by Yotes fans. He had a solid year from a counting stats standpoint, but his underlyings were pretty average to mediocre and his counting stats were fluffed up by a ridiculously high shooting percentage and PP goals (i.e. things that are volatile year to year and not indicators of future performance). For perspective, his shooting percentage was 17.9% compared to career average of 13.6% while he scored 8 PP goals this year in 56 games after having scored a total of 11 PP goals in the prior 246 games.

This is very well thought out. The principles and thought process make sense. Great stuff.
Would IMO have to adjust the deals in some way though. I think SJ hangs on to Labanc as one of their only two RH-shots (and Phil might leave after this season, leaving only Gamby) and replaces him with Weisblatt instead (who has more value too for the Yotes as a young guy who can be a part of the rebuild), and ARI can retain on Kessel to make the cap work. Likely have to pay more for Domi especially if CLB were to retain a little on that too to make it work cap-wise for SJ.

Roslovic with a career Points/60 similar so far to ELindholm, B Nelson, Catkinson, Tuch, Kase, Killorn etc. Only just 23. Very talented & promising too.
True / Carrick / 2nd pretty good value overall yeah
I just wonder if someone suggested that as a return for the other guys if the reaction would be different, really just a lack of TOI keeping Jack's numbers low.

Opening Night Roster Predictions with Trading Sorensen and a 4th for Demers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Revans292</b></div><div>Especially considering Harmon wants to play on the west coast and could be had for 1-2 year 1.5-1.65 mil</div></div>

I fully agree. Hamonic or Rutta would be ideal. I'm just flabbergasted that DW hasn't signed either of yet and is content with his dcorps and having 3 massive holes in the roster (6d, 3rd line center, 3rd line right-winger).
I'm going to go full conspiracy theory: I refuse to believe DW -- the GM of this NHL team -- is this big an idiot. He's fully aware. I think DW is trying to have as "meh" a team as possible and is making a statement to Burns, Vlasic, Jones, and potentially even Kane to have them waive their NTCs/NMCs since he wants to rebuild and their contracts are in the way of it. At worst they continue to not waive and the rebuild begins with higher draft picks and probably along the way taking on a bad contract for a sweetener and/or selling off UFAs for picks at the deadline. That's why Thornton left. He knows it too, DW either told him in words but regardless told Jumbo through his actions of not going after anybody and doing anything this offseason.

Stupid Sharks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PapaJoe19</b></div><div>Thanks for your insight and opinion. Having never been checked by Sorensen, I’ll take you word that he hits harder than I would expect. He’s only potted more than 10 goals once in the NHL (17 in ‘18-‘19). He was one of the most inconsistent and disappointing players for the Sharks last year, imo, especially considering he was consistently playing with Thornton.
When looking at this team and their cap issues, he is an easy player to want to move, especially after the Nieto and Marleau signings, paired with Gregory’s emergence in the second half of last season. Nieto and Marleau will be making less money than Sorensen next combined and will most likely offer the team more next season.
I personally don’t view him as part of the solution and don’t believe he warrants an active roster spot at this point regardless of his PK ability or locker room presence.</div></div>
He was inconsistent last year..... the whole team was so don’t hold it against him, he will never be more than a 10-15 goal 20-39 point bottom 6 player who is good on the PK, but you need those guys to win cups, that’s why Tampa grabbed Goodrow, just give him one more year, I have a feeling this year he puts up 15 goals 28 points and it one of our top PK guys! And if we suck trade him at the deadline for way more than you can get in the off season.

Willing to bet they add a 3C either via trade or signing a guy like Haula. DW had to do right by Joe and let him have his moment even though his comments earlier in the week showed that he knew Thornton was moving on, and maybe even encouraged him to do so. Add a legitimate 3C into that lineup, and it's a playoff contender in a weak Pacific division. If the top guys are healthy, they have as much top end talent as anyone in the division sans Edmonton, because well McDavid and Draisatl are the two best players in the league probably.

I wouldn't mind the cap hit as much as the term. Ideally it'd be a 2yr deal for Smith with his contract coming off the books in time for Hertl's extension.
Anyways, am very much in favor of Smith to SJ 👍

I'd rather have LaBanc to Dadanov to be honest.
Not sure who would be available at #20 that would be a significant upgrade over LaBanc.
Keeping LaBanc saves 2M+ vs Dadanov which would give up space to carry a 7D and give Greiss the 3.5M that he's probably gonna get

Yeahhhhhh, the flipside of that though is that Labanc is nowhere near 1st line ready. At this point in his development I would honestly not even really want him on the 2nd line, if I'm being totally honest. That said, I'd keep him over Craig Smith, because you're not wrong - while I'd be very happy to draft, like, Seth Jarvis at 20th overall, I'm not sure that would be worth giving Labanc up for.
Also, Gambrell? Really? Can't we all just agree that he would 'do better with a change of scenery' and move on from him?

This looks good! And good explanation to why you did choose players to sign.
Moving Labanc is a big question mark, he is young and has potential. I don't know if its a good idea to let him go, but I kinda see where u are coming from.
I am behind getting Dadonov (he is one of the most underrated FA this year) Smith is also a smart piece of depth. Ryan is a no brainer for tryout, Sharks need 3rd line RW.
But I think 3rd line needs a rookie or young guy in it. Leonard/Chmelevski/Gregor, some kind of a young stud. Marleau - Thornton - Ryan is not a good line to be honest.
All in all if this would be the Sharks for next year, I would be excited!
