I definitely think Domi is going to be a harder sell than AA, hence me saving a salary retention slot for him, but at 1.5 cap hit and playing next to Kane for a significant portion of the season I think there will be some teams interested. I don’t want to repeat myself in the same post but assuming he has a decent season I don’t see why the asking price of a 2nd won’t be met.

Because:

1. With the way the team is constructed, they aren’t contenders, and they aren’t a Kane away from being contenders.

2. They cannot afford to re-sign Kane after this year, with Hintz needing a new contract.

3. Stankoven isn’t just some prospect, he’s a top tier prospect, he won CHL player of the year this season, he has immense talent, he’s the real deal.

4. The last blockbuster Jim Nill dod was almost a decade ago, by his history, he has never traded a prospect the caliber of Stankoven or a 1st round pick (except to acquire another 1st round pick).

5. If Dallas were to upgrade at a position, it should 100% be defence over offence.
