Rossi was not STAPLED to Kaprizov in any meaningful way and Zuccarello is downright awful outside of the PP (the fact that you think otherwise already shows me you don't really know much about the Wild outside of stats). Rossi played with Kaprizov at times, most of his even strength time was away from Kaprizov. He also only got PP2 time as well, and our PP2 was putrid.

And if you're going to bring up his time with Kaprizov, we're not going to pretend like Mercer didn't also get pretty significant time with Meier specifically, but also Hischier and Hughes at times.

These two are very equal at this point, and again, Rossi outscored Mercer last season while playing a very responsible two way game at center. Rossi also still has the higher upside.</div></div>

Mercer's year was substantially more Chaotic and played with far less talent and Meier played the entire year with both MLCs torn a core muscle injury and just had his shoulder reconstructed and same with Hughes who played with a dislocated shoulder all year I wouldn't even compare them to Kaprizov this year
