Would you trade him to the Hawks? This is one of the few guys I'd actually trade pieces away for despite our current building process. I believe we could get him to sign another deal here.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if you're trading Brady...aren't you kinda retooling at least? In this hypothetical scenario, couldn't this be one of the rare times when quantity of picks/prospects might be ok for quality of player?

I've never seen someone trying to overrate a player so bad. 10overall plus a top 4 RHD is pretty good value for a guy who hasn't even hit pp/g and who will most certainly regress even more under green. Sens should sell high but they won't get the value you are expecting

Oh, 100%. If Brady was available, he be 1 guy I'd strongly consider though. There are a handful of players you just can't replicate. The Tkachuks are 2 of them.

When was the last time an elite player was moved for another elite player, Weegar/Huberdeau for Tkachuk, RyJo for Seth Jones? It just doesn't really happen

It doesn’t happen because teams don’t usually trade players like Brady at 24 years old unless they’re expiring soon, or have injury issues or want out so badly they hold out
