IDK if u made the post cuz of my comment lol, but I will post it here too to make it clear:

"But yeah killing the ENTIRE future of the bruins to upgrade the 2C for like 2/3 years is an awful move.
3-5 years down the line that 8.7 Mil is gonna be a problem. Their lack of prospects will be a problem. And the lack of another 1st rounder will be a problem.
So cool the 2nd line has a much better Center. Great, they still arent gauranteed winners and their future is horrid."

This is a little different, but its just as bad. Bruins arent giving up their entire future (literally their two best prospects and two 1st rounders as well as their only other top 6 player outside of the perfection line... It would be horrible overall

Do it in NHL21 if you want, but not gonna happen in real life

Im not undervaluing him, just pointing out the facts of what he is worth TO THE BRUINS</div></div>

I could not disagree with this take more. If the Bruins lose Debrusk from their current roster and add Crosby, they are odds on favorites to win the Cup. Probably for the next two. So yes, losing Vaak and Studncika would hurt, but you are likely looking at two trips to the finals - maybe 3. Sid's last two full were 100 and then 47 in 41 games. If he cuts his production in half by the end of the deal you are paying 8.7m for ONE year of 45pts and a solid defensive center. Not ideal, but not horrible. He isn't falling off that hard either.

I know it's a weird season, but Hoffman, Duclair, Smith were all just signed relatively cheap and will produce the same if not more than debrusk. Toffolli also.

Sure they take hit in 4 or so years, but Sweeney's strength in drafting has been 2-4th rounds. If 1st's have been questionable.
