It starts with your 2023 1st round pick and Podkolzin, and add from there. To high? No problem, we will be happy to keep Laffy.

couldn't even make a package just due to the fact that the offer has to be really good for us to move the needle, 11th overall + would be my guess, but its unrealistic. It takes two to tango tho so thats what we'd be asking for.

Not about who can play the left side or not, it's about having way too many right shot fowards which is something Sullivan doesn't like.

Garland to DET
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skytown</b></div><div>I don’t understand why Garlands value is so low. There’s rumblings in the market of a buyout if no one will take him. I think that’s asinine. I’m not a fancy stat guy, so maybe there’s a reason there, but he has had a 46 and 52 point seasons in Vancouver. I don’t get why people wouldn’t jump at the chance to get a 50pts mid 6 player like him for a 2nd.
As for Hirose… WOW! Didn’t look at his stats until now. I just added him because we have Akito lol. Couple nice AHL seasons. Is he a late bloomer, or is he simply a very good AHL player who for whatever reason just can’t make that jump to the NHL?</div></div>
I think the biggest part that scares at least me was the issue with Vancouver at the start of the year where the whole team just stank. Obviously things have turned around, but that essentially cut sample size in half.
Hirose is interesting; he was 1st in the NCAA for points in 2018/19, and his AHL stuff is alright. Would like to see him this season under a decent coach. Not sure his deal, though.

I think he's a classic example of a AAAA player. He's a very good AHLer, but that step in skill is slightly bigger than his skill provides. He doesn't look totally out of place in the NHL or anything, but he doesn't really provide much at that level either

Probably in the near future, the top 4 D Carolina will look like this:
Slavin - Morrow
Nikishin - Pesce

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skytown</b></div><div>Going to disregard the bottom 10 comment, but I am curious about Morrow as a player.
While I haven’t read a whole lot on him, I haven’t seen anything negative about him and he seems like a helluva prospect. Just how good is he/is he going to be? Also, is he signing in Carolina? Could another Adam Fox situation be happening? Doesn’t he have to sign this summer, or does he have one more year?</div></div>
He's very good, I (and a lot of other ppl, far smarter than me) had him as a top 15-20 player in his draft class, and he's been extremely good at UMass since then. I haven't heard anything about him not wanting to sign in CAR, and he would have to play another 2 years in the NCAA before becoming a free agent.

Canucks fans are delusional if you don’t take that trade. You’re giving freeing up 11 million dollars in cap space to move back 8 spots. Your defense is terrible and so is your cap space. If you wanna stay mediocre for another decade than decline the trade.

Nice concept on the trade. But IMO Miller's 8m X 7 is still a too much of a detriment for a trade.

Columbus passes, They're not trading Kent Johnson, And dropping 22nd from 9th overall for Kent Johnson in a very deep draft isn't worth it. You might be able to get a better player than Johnson at 9 OA.

Only way Vancouver is getting Kent Johnson in a trade is if it involves Petey.
JT Miller doesn’t fit the jackets timeline. I could see them being interested in 9OA for LAs first, Boqvist and maybe another add though

The pens don’t want to trade defensemen. They are losing Dumo and Kulikov at the end of the year. They kinda need LHD. They would only have POJ and Ty Smith next year in this scenario.

Yea a lot of people speculating this is a problem for them in the summer, but it really isn’t.
They could trade Laf tho, for a RW. Only because they are LW full with 5 guys

No he’s not lmao.
That’s a horrid take.
He’s literally the only one in our top 4 who can handle top 4 shutdown minutes. Which he gets at a very heavy rate.
He’s not a #1 d man like we’d all hoped. But he’s certainly a top pair guy. Especially if he got better than 35% OZ starts. He still manages to get around 30 points a season doing so which is wild especially given no PP time.
He’s being asked to take on by far the hardest usage on the team, and probably one of the hardest matchups in the league while playing half the season with Mikkola and the other half with Leddy. Tell me who is going to have great statistical seasons in that usage.

Kurashev is 3 years younger, on a worse team, and has 3 less points in the same amount of games. This would be a downgrade

CHI should have 0 interest in Garland, they'd keep their younger player and instead flip Toews to a team that could afford him at 50%
