While we're on the topic, I'm not sure that Tkachuk is worth Steen + +...STL passes unless a 6th rounder is added by CGY.

Is there a Blockbuster Out There
I think both teams decline this. Philly for Cap reasons and because they love Myers. Calgary because Patrick is way too much of a risk at this point in time.

This. Calgary could probably get more for that package, and Patrick and Myers are probably the two biggest "more value to us than to anybody else" pieces on the roster

I'd guess somewhere around a 4th or 5th depending on the market for him.

It likely wouldn't cost very much, TB needs to shed money any way they can

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>leafs101</b></div><div>Lol people say Leafs need veteran leadership and more toughness, Dubas gets that, and people stay mad.
At the end of the day the team did need both of those things, and got both of those things. Also there is enough young competition on this team that will probably get in (Barabanov, Vesey, etc. so I'm not too concerned with that</div></div>
Adding Joe Thornton and Jimmy Vesey isn't getting you to the 2nd Round while dropping Kapanen and Johnsson

UFA and Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CanucksTilliDIE</b></div><div>like who ? lmao</div></div>
Kuempfer for one. Kessel for another. Stepan, Hjalmarsson, Goligoski and Demers are others. Lots of salary for them to move out if they want to, they don't HAVE to move out OEL.
And this trade does not help them save money at all. They are retaining for the next 8 years (which nobody is going to do) and taking one a lot of your dead money. That's not what they are looking for. I get you're a Canucks fan, but let's be objective here.
I also think you've made it extremely difficult to re-sign Hughes and Petterson next year, which should be top priority for Vancouver rather than overpaying more UFA's this year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bigboi69</b></div><div>Ryan is not worth anything more than 1.5</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EddieShore</b></div><div>Are you honestly trying to say Ryan is anywhere near the quality of player that Johnson is? lol man</div></div>
Clearly you folks aren't familiar with Ryan. While putting up marginally fewer points than Johnson, he does so with significantly less ice time and with lower quality linemates. Furthermore, Ryan's underlying numbers are far better than are Jonhson's. And perhaps most importantly, Ryan is extremely important in the faceoff dot, as he wins over 55% of his draws, many of which are crucial defensive zone draws. Oh and Ryan is a PK specialist too.
I would argue that he is an extremely useful player, and absolutely is worth the $3 million he is paid. Definitely a better contract than Johnson (as useful as Johnson might otherwise be).

I think ryan and Kylington aren't helping the deal tampa's kinda set with paying for dmen especially left.
Maybe send ryan and kylington to buffalo..they need another left d and could keep ryan in bottom 6 for a year. Probably need to add something to tampa deal though, i think the trade is a good idea for both teams. And imo stamer for jonny isn't far off.

Konecny isn't being traded and I highly doubt Farabee is but I guess I could see it happening I think Frost would be the most likely high end prospect to get moved not that I want to do that but with the depth a center that the org has it makes the most sense.

Sure, from my plan it wouldn't take much to change the trade to that with a lower pick in place of the 3rd.

My favorite is the gear and the copper home/away from when they went to the Finals

The pick Carolina has at #13 was originally the Toronto 1st Rounder.
Good quick tip to remember: Carolina made the playoffs, Toronto didn't. Carolina's own pick has to be above #16 no matter who has it.
