What would Larkin cost PIT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpaghettiHead11</b></div><div>What I hate about this site anymore is that in "0" of the responses were there any ideas in response to the trade idea. Player "1" for such and such.</div></div>
You're only thinking about this from Pittsburgh's point of view. Larkin would be a great 2C behind Crosby, sure. You're not considering Detroit at all.
Larkin is Detroit's only Top 6 center in the organization. They don't have a center prospect that's likely to be near as good as Larkin is. If they trade Larkin, the 2019-2020 Wings are going to look like a premier hockey team compared to how they would be. Historically bad would be an understatement.
With the number of high quality prospects already in the pipeline, it makes no sense to go nuclear. The Wings have talent everywhere but at center, which would be wasted if they started the rebuild over again.
At this stage, there's nothing that would be reasonable for both teams to entice Detroit to trade Larkin. No team would be stupid enough to make the massive overpayment required, nor should they even consider it. Period.

Why any team with the righg mind would trade a high-end Center for 2 years of Larkin ? … no one

With Sid And Geno out PT 1
I actually like this idea, but I don't know if Seattle takes it. They didn't take Zucker in the expansion draft. Maybe that was just the cap hit, but they could have gotten him for nothing if they wanted. I'm fairly confident that he could bounce back next season. The thing I just don't understand is having Heinen on the top line. People have been making him a healthy scratch here. I don't know why they do that, but this is the opposite extreme. I love the signing and I think he'll do well in Pittsburgh but I don't see him as a middle six guy right now.

I like it - think Canes would go for it. Fast is good but he's replaceable and wouldn't mind seeing some of our kids get a shot which he is kind of blocking. Don't think Fast is a big piece of the Tara trade anyways.

What would Zub cost PIT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpaghettiHead11</b></div><div>He has decent foot speed, good first pass and he plays physical. At 2.5 he also fits PIT's cap without much finagling. He's at best gonna be a reach 2nd pair, system pending, but he's what PIT needs.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpaghettiHead11</b></div><div>You actually downgraded him for me. I had a 2022 PIT 1st and Poulin for Zub and 3rd from OTT.</div></div>
I think he greatly lowballed his own player there. Young defensive RHD have great value imo.

However, we value Zub and want him to be an Ottawa Senator.
So, in order to take him from us, it would need to be two seconds at a minimum because other teams would be interested.
Why does he interest you?</div></div>
I think you are lowballing Zub's value. Only 25. One of the few very good RH defensive dmen. Only making 2.5M. Had pretty good defensive stats for having to go against two high powered offensive teams 19 times last year in Oilers and Leafs. I feel like he has more value then Dillion currently. Felt like once Zub got comfortable in the NHL and was getting more minutes the Sens got much better.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpaghettiHead11</b></div><div>While advanced stats are something to look at and take into consideration, they truly are not "hard" numbers especially with goalies. You cannot replace Jarry in the same game with another goalie and get "hard" numbers. Too many other factors go into the outcome of a game. They are only situational numbers. I would like to see Roy's advanced stats now considering his pention to get penalized and how that would factor into his stats. Not saying you are wrong just thinking out loud.</div></div>
But you can’t ignore them either, He was bad, mediocre, below average however you want to say it but the fact stands, he’s not a quality starter, or a starter you actively go out and get. He’s not worth it

if it came down to Jarry, would play Francouz over him.
There is a reason why every Pens fan is trying to desperately get rid of Jarry, last season was a disaster for him, especially in the playoffs

I mean he’s probably worth 4th straight up but he’s more valuable to the Canes than his fair value in a trade so I can’t see a deal like that happening unless you guys overpaid and gave like a 2nd or something which I know you wouldn’t do

2021-22 PENS
I think this is pretty solid...however I think Poulin and Legare are untouchable. I think Riikola for them to take Zucker is fair. I mean Zucker is still a much better option than most of what will be available. I’d also do without the Carter trade and Danault signing. Mostly because I doubt Danault wants to be a 3C. I think he wants to go somewhere that he can be a top 6. If Danault signed a 1 yr deal somewhere else, Malkin went back to russia after his current deal, then I could see the pens going after Danault. So we’d essentially need Carter for next year and since he has been great, don’t see a need to trade him either. I also think a 4 year deal for Blueger for 2-2.5 mil is more fair for him. And it keeps that ZAR-Blueger-Tanev line together and they become free agents all at once. After those minor tweaks, I feel everything would be perfect.
