<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aecliptic</b></div><div>Fine isnt good for 3C in the playoffs. We need secondary/tertiary scoring from that line and its not happening. Id rather move Brodz down to 4C and bump Pitlick out of the lineup. Then go after a 3C that can provide some scoring and help the others to score as well.
The guys I want kind of go completely against what I said in my previous post, however, Sissons is a guy I really like for 3C and hes under a very nice contract for a couple more years. Another guy I really like is Jenner, however it may not be a Lindholm-esque price, but a 1st, a 4th and a prospect is likely the only way to get CBJ to even consider trading their captain.</div></div>
Yea I like the Sissons idea. I more mean that I’d rather just roll with Brodz on the 3rd line as he’s proven it can work rather than give up assets for some rental like Henrique

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aecliptic</b></div><div>It would be wise for the Rangers to go the cheap route for the bottom 6. No reason to overpay. However I think 3C is more of a priority than 4C. I also think if they're gonna make a splash, they're gonna get someone better than Beauvillier for RW.
Goodrow, Brodz, Vesey is a fine 4th line I feel, with Pitlick as a depth guy.</div></div>
I think Brodzinski has been fine at 3C. Cuylle Kakko and him have been the best line over the past couple games. I think the bigger focus would be on a top 6 RW, but I’m not really sold on giving up a first round pick for retreads like Vatrano or Tarasenko. I was just thinking of trying to do a repeat of the original Vatrano trade 2 years ago by picking up an underperforming, still decently young/speedy player for cheap.

The trade could be to any team. I just chose NSH since they have the cap space.

Probably not 1 for 1. I think Dallas could add a bit more like a pick or another depth player

Or is it even possible? I look at it from the perspective that Dallas needs RD depth BADLY, so I'm curious what the cost would be (and how realistic it would be) for a guy of Schneider's caliber.</div></div>
Yea I’d definitely do this

Strome probably won’t come back. The top 6 centers would already be set for next season with Petey+Chytil
19.3 mil is enough to resign Fox (probably 8 mil), Kakko (If he breaks out offensively I could see a 4-5 mil bridge deal) and Krav

If they match then that’s fine it just screws over their cap situation even more as they’ll only have around 7 mil to resign Hughes + other roster players

Connor Out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arafay</b></div><div>Scheifele’s stats aren’t that different than other high end first line centers who are good in their own end. Just look at Ryan O’Reilly (last years selke winner I believe). Yes scheifele has a (much) higher offensive zone Start percentage but that’s more because he’s our only top 6 center and one of our best offensive weapons. Oh yeah and there’s the whole factor of o’reilly being the best faceoff man in the league and scheifele being one of the worst (at least among first line centers). Other than that they are pretty identical.
As for Connor, his stats are pretty identical to almost any top line scorer in the league, which indicates he’s at least average in his own zone.
How about you look at the stats instead of me. Because I know damn well what I’m talking about whereas you have been seemingly talking out of your *** this entire conversation</div></div>
O’Reilly is leagues better defensively than Schiefele and it’s not even close lmfao. Also since when does a player’s OFFENSIVE production indicate that they are good or even average DEFENSIVELY

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Capitalfail67</b></div><div>Advanced stats are like watching porn and actual points are like ... well doing the real thing. People like to focus on advance stats when they need to compensate for what they lacking in reality. I don’t think advanced stats are useless but common sense > fantasy / expected stats</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JacobTroubruh</b></div><div>On pace for about 47 points. Also you do know points really aren’t the best way to measure offense right. There’s so many random aspects such as
-Teammates
-Competition
-Wether an assist actually mattered to the play
-what if a player created a good chance but a teammate couldn’t finish it?
-did the player do anything else in the offensive zone (possession time, shot attempts, creating chances, getting turnovers, zone entries)
-what state of the game was (was it 5v5?, 5v4?, empty net?, 4v4?)</div></div>
It doesn’t go against the supposed narrative lmfao. RAPM adjusted xGF/60 and GF/60 take into account everything I stated here, normal points and goals do not. Advanced stats aren’t just random thing plucked out of nowhere it’s everything that happens on the ice. A goal accrues in 1 second of a 60 minutes game. These stats account for a lot more than just that one second.
