<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Nothing Kampf does is special enough to warrant his cap hit or term. You can find a 4C for way cheaper.</div></div>
He is more of a 13-14 minute a night, defensive C. Over the past few years, the bigger the moments, the more minutes he gets. He is more a #3-#4C tweener. A very high end #4C or a lower end #3.
Ottawa needs some help on the defensive side of the puck. Kampf would be a great addition for them.

I agree - Can be vets also. I decided to go with the lower possible young guns group with this one.

Next yr without trading a core piece
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Here's the thing. Leafs fans are so determined in their thought that Jarnkrok and Kampf are bad cap value. Virtually all teams don't have cap....certainly more than 21 teams, why would value these so called non value players? I'm not nit picking, so many Leafs are so "homers" thinking they are only team that can rid themselves of non value cap players. No, it's bad take by so many Leafs fans trading. Kampf/Jarnkrok to "anywhere"
And really, how much cap do the Leafs trade by trading Jarnkrok? It's not 2.1m as they have to find a competent replacement.</div></div>
I personally believe Kampf and Jarnkrok have value. I don't think they are cap dumps. Trading those 2 frees up enough cap to keep a guy like Bert.

Both players can still be traded to 21 teams each. Do you want the author to be that specific and say "traded to one the 21 teams that are not on their NTC?" - You are nitpicking in a bad way with this one.

Next Year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>LA gave up so much to get PLD. I can't imagine that they'd give up on him after just 1 year. That seems to be what I've heard from most Kings fans as well.
I don't think Boston needs to send out the 3rd round pick along with Ullmark to get a 1st round pick back in general (NJD fans seem fine with a 2025 1st for Ullmark swap), although the fact that it is a 2024 pick is probably appealing to the Boston FA. I imagine they'd consider sending something more to bump the pick to 2024, but a 3rd rounder is a bit steep.</div></div>
Maybe Bostons 2024 4th?

Guenther has 35 pts in 45 games this year. I doubt he would be AHL bound.
But this would all be fun. This team could be very dangerous next year!

We need to score more. At least Timmins brings that element. We can't keep getting 1-2 goals a game and expect to win. But I understand!

Should we tell Domi that crosschecking someone pretty hard, from behind, is absolutely a penalty?

We need more offense. If this continues and we lose I would do:
Dewar in - Reaves Out
I would put Lily and Timmins in and take Edmonson and Benoit out for next game.
We can't keep getting 2 goals or less a game.

Seems right to me. We will see if Norris gets moved this offseason. That will be interesting.
This team has the pieces to contend. Just need so fine tuning in my mind. ALOT more depth also. And a less weird, random scandals, taking out some decent young players. haha

Flyers hit accept on that trade so fast. Why does Montreal do it though? They already have a ton of LD prospects. Why trade for another low end LD prospect to help Philly with that much cap?

Picks drafted this year in that range will be ready in 3-5 years. I think we all believe that Ottawa can potentially contend as of next year. But fair enough if they don't want Lily and/or Kampf.

It is very unlikely that JT waives. But if he does, a team like Chicago would take him for FC or a late pick, quite easily. It matches what they are building in Chicago very perfectly.

I view him as a solid number 5, who can slot into the top 4 if needed. I view his value as an early 2nd.

Either way I dont actually think the Sens would be interested</div></div>
That works also. Ottawa 2nd is early and a 3rd the following year. Both options work. The Boston 1st vs the Ottawa 2nd aren't a huge difference. Usually teams pay a 3rd ish to move that many spots.
Fair on them not wanting to do it though. I know their RD need is more of a defensive dman type.
