Enough for Nylander
I'm not saying it's terrible but it's nothing the leafs really have an interest in, only thing I can see them trading Marner or willy for (Willy to a slightly lesser extent due to length of contract)
For Marner, #1RD and a first Rd pick in this year's draft or a top prospect who is ready for NHL hockey next season
For Nylander, a #3/4 Dman with a late first early second or top prospect and a late first early second.

Not saying it's not a fair offer but I think Leafs say no, they clearly prioritized a certain type of dman and lots of it for depth. I think gus stays for the push.

3 trades to start the rebuilding
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MikeBigCoch07</b></div><div>Toronto would sploodge smashing the accept button so fast</div></div>
Heavily disagree. Demko is the only valuable asset in that deal and he hasn't been good this year, for our best d prospect a top 4 dman, say what you will about Robertson but I still think he has high upside if he can get and stay healthy. Not to mention engvall who is a great bottom six piece and dumping Murray doesn't cost anywhere near that much. Garbage trade for the Leafs.

There is absolutely zero chance you get Gio unless it's two first rounders. Ridiculous I know but he is a very important piece of this team.

This is far too much for what we are getting, knies will make an impact as early as this playoff run if not he's in the lineup game 1 next season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PeterK</b></div><div>Id stick Laughton in the middle of Barbashev and Jarnkrok but yeah, decent line. I don't think you need the retention on either one, particularly Laughton.
Personally, I like Laughton but that 1st round pick is likely headed to San Jose, that trade likely won't cut it. He is the bell of the ball, and for once I think the Leafs should actually pay the price, but yeah, you won't have that 1st lying around still nor would it be worth it to spend on Laughton.</div></div>
The only reason I think Laughton is worth the first is term with the retention.

Minny deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Digitalbooya06</b></div><div>I don’t know why you are accounting for Holl at all. You can take him out of the deal for all I care. Change the cap coming back to Kerfoot, swap the 2nd to a 1st, and Dumba has 50% retention. Doesn’t hurt your cap. You don’t lose a super important player. Minnesota gets what they want (1st) in return.
This is assuming Toronto would like to press the “go” button before everyone leaves in a couple years. Bolster the defense without hurting your team.</div></div>
Look I understand your reasoning, but kerfoot is a valued member of the team as well even when under performing offensively.
Dumba just isn't the player we are looking for at the cost of a first, our first round pick will likely only be moved in a deal for someone with term or team control.

Walman is a good player on a mediocre team. But to think he would be the second best on a really good team is far fetched. I would say he would be the Leafs 5/6 best dman if he was on the team (yes I have watched him play multiple games)

If necessary, the Wild can eat 50% for a 1st. Someone will be willing to pay that.</div></div>
But dumba is of no use to us either so why would we increase our cap hit and give up a second or the first for retention and still be paying more.
Holls value to caphit ratio cannot be beaten by Dumba therefore he isn't worth giving up assets for.

Just giving a taste of the medicine, how does the OP seriously think the Leafs can make this deal.
1) Dumbas salary is way over what the Leafs can afford
2) Holl is statistically better defensively than Dumba
3) the Leafs have little to no picks
And we are living in lala land?

Holl is much better defensively than Dumba. If the pick was dropped and money was retained than sure but that won't happen so Leafs so no.

Definitely not. Maybe with 50% retention on garland and a second rounder rounder coming back for Holl. Also zero chance Leafs trade lily for highlander.
