Arizona and Vegas trades

Well I figure if this did go down Vegas would add a third or something. But Drake and Slepy will both seek probably 2 mill each and they can play similar roles. Theodroe right now just in the minors isn't a good spot for Vegas either</div></div>
I would argue Drake is of more value then Anton though to be honest. They will let one walk, for someone who is valued to be making under 3 million the return isn't much. And Theodore is only playing in the minors because Vegas fucked up and took to many D men. They have to showcase them to move them

I don't know why you have that Gardiner trade but I had something similar posted earlier. I put Kapanen and a 3rd for Strome this year so he can play next year and be a call up this year. Alotanen is almost certainly our 4th line center next year. It will be nice to have some depth at center

Well you just changed your comment so I guess mine is irrelevant right now. That was the whole idea behind this. We need center depth and if he jumps back and forth with us this year and waits to be a 3rd line center when Bozak leaves it's a win. Kapanen gets a top 6 role in Arizona. Win win.

Strome
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>The fact that you never put Strome on the Leafs roster makes it a bad deal for the Leafs. And Strome can't be sent to the minors without waivers. So who do the Leafs waive to the AHL?</div></div>
Do you not pay any attention to hockey? Strome can be passed through waivers and sent down to the AHL whenever the team wants him to be. He isn't on the roster because there is no room for him right now with everyone healthy. He would be a perfect replacement for Bozak next year if/when he walks to another team. Depth is extremely huge for any hockey team incase you need reminding. We already have an abundance of RW and in the minors but not so much Center depth.

Do all upcoming 90 UFAs get traded? Of course not. Your logic is so flawed. Or is just Ottawa"s upcoming UFAs.?</div></div>
Is it? Because last I checked not every team is like Ottawa? But yes your right keep all the UFAs when you have an average team so you can be just garbage when they all walk.
Do you not remember what Vancouver did to Ottawa last year? Traded a UFA that was going to walk for an awesome prospect to put in their system. But hey that was so dumb. What was Vancouver thinking. Should of hung on to Burrows

Rangers Lineup (If Vigneault actually used his brain)
I would personally shelter Nash on the third line and give Vessey more time in a top 6 role to see if he can handle it. Staal and Fast with a second or first should be packaged together to get a prospect back and free up cap space. Other then that I agree with you. Rangers never seem to play the right people.

Kyle Turris 3C rental?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Why does he get traded? There are about three upcoming UFAs per teams, So about 90 or so UFAs in the league. Do they all get traded. I think not. We not? Teams like Ottawa and most teams are vying for the playoffs and want to get their team strong. I just don't understand the logic "he is most likely to get traded." Are Pens trading Hornqvist, Reeves, Cole at the deadline because they are upcoming UFAs? Of course the Pens would have to trade Turris after acquiring him, because he is upcoming UFA.</div></div>
He gets traded because for a team like Ottawa getting something for him is better for the organization then getting nothing if he walks.

Pick up Anderson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FireTippett</b></div><div>Anderson on the Yotes makes some sense, but not on the firs line. Merkley + 3rd is a tough but fair offer. Ideally, the Yotes could move one of their left-handed wingers for a righty with some potential.
Not really sure why the other 2 trades are there. Schenn has been a good performer at a discount price. I wouldn't trade Domingue for Halak, given their contracts and age.</div></div>
I was thinking that but honestly I think the coyotes value how much depth down the center and left wing they have (although they are young) and wouldn't want to move them unless it was for players who are more experienced but with the same skill set.
Schenn trade was made to allow Anderson to come on or they would be over the max. Domingue is horrible. Halak is a decent backup goalie and will be done after this year. Just my thought process with those trades.

Leafs/St. Louis
Toronto would be all over this for sure but it would be a hard no from St.Louis. First, they need RW and C. Top 6 in each category. They have lots of bottom 6 but not too 6. They are too heavy on LW and this trade is just a bunch of LW. Maybe this would of worked in the summer but not now.

A mid season trade with BUF
Reinhart plays RW for a reason in buffalo because he is good there. If anything Fabbri would get that spot and Reinhart move to the RW. Would be a dynamite line and give ST.Louis 3 legit scoring threats lines. So for example
Schwartz-Statsny-Tarensenko
Stern-Fabbri-Reinhart
Sobotka-Sundqvist-Schenn
Pararjvi-Brodziak-Bennett
(Personally would have Schenn top line imo)
But agreed St.Louis would have to offer a 1st or 2 2nds for that deal to go through. But I like it.

Sens a Duchy front runner?
When they have a healthy squad I'm assuming from what I hear their D pairings should be;
Chabot-Karlsson
Phaneuf-Ceci
Oduya- Wideman
Borowiecki
So giving up a top 4 guy, would probably be Claesson, not Ceci. Ceci is from the area and that's a big draw for a team hurting to put people in the seats. No way they give him up. And that second turns into a first round pick and another defensive prospect and either Smith or Turris. Duchene probably comes with Commeau with half retained salary. And a second round pick? Close but I don't think you gave nearly the fair value that each team would need to let a trade like this go through. But I do see benefits for something like this to happen and I'm not a Sens fan but I really hope this does happen

I like it. New Jersey has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Believe he will want a bit more then that. Probably in the 3-3.5 million per season range in my opinion. And on less term. 1-2 years. He won't want to lock in for 3 when he can cash in on that last year. Also other then the line combos I like this idea.

Trade For Trouba
I strongly feel that is a HuGE over payment for Trouba. Nathan Beaulieu and a first should do the trick. If you wanted to dump Bogosains contract as well I'm sure a second either in the same draft year or next would complete it. You don't need to get rid of him though. Yes he is getting paid a lot but he is still a serviacable D man. Also don't think Winnipeg will want him back after they traded him a couple seasons ago. Nylander will turn into a top 6 winger like his brother. No way you add that as well unless you didn't want to work anymore.

Leafs Doughty
Brent Burns signed for 8x8 and he is considered a top 10 D man in the league. I really think I won't get bashed for saying Doughty is top 5. Doughty will be getting 9 million for sure. Matthews contract is about 1 million below value on a team friendly deal. Nylander and Marner are below value also. Hamhuis doesn't get that much at his age. And he doesn't come here. 1 star for thinking outside the box.

On Top
Mitch Marner doesn't get paid that much to play 3rd line. Neither does Marleau. Lines combos aren't going to work. Having multiple rookies on the left to doesn't work. Needs work on lines for sure. Rhychel and Levio are most likely gone at this point. Doughty doesn't sign here for the same amount as L.A. One of the best D men is going to get paid after this contract. And your D men aren't going to top heavy they are going to be spread out so there aren't weaknesses
