Yeah, he's cheeks. Fine as a 3rd pairing, maybe even 2nd pair guy with support, but Leaf fans seem to really insistent to stick him on the top pair with Reilly and I promise it would be a complete disaster to do that. But also, I've seen a lot of trades recently where Columbus retains and that's just not gonna happen. In a world where Peeke is being acquired as a desired asset (which is apparently reality based on ACGMs haha), there's no chance that CBJ put 3 years of retention on their books when several young players are gonna be due in the coming offseasons and they're already fairly tight with the cap.

Yeah, I get Werenski basically missed the entire season, but come on. Saying Provorov is the only sure thing at LD is a massive stretch. Werenski could've been ready to go at the end of last season, but the team was cooked so there was no reason to push it. We're 6 months later now, it's not like Werenski is just coming up on his expected timetable to be able to play or something.

We'll have to see what happens with Bean, but either he or Blankenburg are serviceable at 3LD, even if not <em>ideal</em>. And it's also totally possible that Svozil just takes the remaining LD spot in the lineup regardless.

Brodie really just flat out doesn't fit the team as it is currently.
