Frick yea it was, this is this group's chance to win, why would they not devote all assets reasonable to winning, they still have their 1st next year</div></div>
To be fair, Tage Thompson was a literal nobody until last season

There is absolutely no fit for Kuzmenko in Boston. Keep the 2023 first in the Bruins pocket. ACGMer's need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to the Bruins current roster, especially top 9 F and top 6 D.

Lysell isn't happening. Boston doesn't have a NEED for center this season. There is no reason to waste a 1st + prospect for a guy you don't need and could sign as a UFA (assuming he makes it). That's just terrible asset management by Boston. Vancouver would also have to take cap back in order for Boston to even fit Bo in this season.

Dude Boston isn't dealing Lysell for a rental in Bo Horvat, They don't have the financial means to sign both Horvat and Pastrnak who would cost a combined $20,500,000 long term for 8 years apiece.

re-signing Horvat and Kuzmenko
Pesce straight up holds more value than Miller. The Canes didn’t want Miller before his awful extension, they don’t want him now either. Patches wants to resign in Carolina, and the Canes aren’t going to trade him literally after they just got him into the lineup. Canes might consider taking on Miller if the Canucks eats half his deal and send their 2023 first rounder unprotected. Canes aren’t going to tank their cup chances by making a stupid trade like this.

And that San Jose trade is terrible for the Canucks

Asking for Lysell back for Michell is pretty ridiculous.

He played great last night, even before the bump up the lineup.
He’s absolutely stunk whenever he’s been on his off-wing. Asked and answered, it doesn’t work.

Bruins need a 2nd line C
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FunMustBeAlways</b></div><div>Duchene and Stone trades are the best recent comps
- Duchene retrieved a first and 2 B/C prospects as well as a 1st conditional on him re-upping with CBJ (which you can't do anymore but there's still value there)
- Stone retrieved a 2nd, a bottom-six player and (at the time) a top-20ish prospect in the league in Brannstrom
Prospect + pick is the going rate here based on comps and value wise, since Lysell isn't nearly at the level Brannstrom was at in 2019, the pick has to be higher than a measly 2nd. That 1st is gonna be late anyway so it's not like you're trading away a top-15 pick.
On top of that:
- Nick Foligno (who is trash compared to Hertl) got a 1st and two 4ths last year at the deadline
- David Savard (who is also decent but trash compared to Hertl) got a 1st, a 3rd and a 4th at last years deadline a well.
- Palmieri and 4 points from Travis Zajac cost a 1st
- A couple years before that, Taylor Hall fetched 18th overall, a good D prospect, a 3rd and a former 1st rounder in Nick Merkley
- And many more examples of lesser players getting rich returns
But as per usual you're probably gonna tirelessly refute everything I say no matter what so me writing this was likely a huge waste of my time.</div></div>
But stone was a different category of player. Top five winger in the league without question. Elite defensively. Fantastic offensively. Back to back to back runner up for the selke (hertl has never received a single 5th place vote), top 12 in hart voting back to back to back years. Really not a good place to start the conversation.

Realistic Arizona Deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>What makes this realistic?</div></div>
Debrusk is a second liner on Arizona
Zboril is a top 4 d on Arizona
Lysell is an A prospect
Studnicka is a B prospect
1st and a 2nd
It’s pretty fair honestly

The Rebuild is Finished - Pierre Dorion or something
think those are pretty easy no's on the majority of the trades, Boston trade is a no from Ottawa. Ottawa isn't trading a high pick and a decent prospect for the 24 pts Debrusk has put up over his "prove it" bridge (80 games). His Qualifying offer is also 4.5M, so thats also a massive negative for Melnyk, as he wouldn't want to pay a massively underachieving player 4.5M to play in Ottawa's Bottom 6.
No from Minny, see post above.
Tierney and Ennis aren't worth 3rds. Both are depth guys and can easily be acquired for less than a 3rd (maybe a 4th for Tierney if you retain 50%)
Lastly Colin White and his injury history arent worth a 1st + Decent Prospect
