Pesce straight up holds more value than Miller. The Canes didn’t want Miller before his awful extension, they don’t want him now either. Patches wants to resign in Carolina, and the Canes aren’t going to trade him literally after they just got him into the lineup. Canes might consider taking on Miller if the Canucks eats half his deal and send their 2023 first rounder unprotected.
