Words can’t describe how awful that first trade is for Carolina

And that San Jose trade is terrible for the Canucks

Pesce straight up holds more value than Miller. The Canes didn’t want Miller before his awful extension, they don’t want him now either. Patches wants to resign in Carolina, and the Canes aren’t going to trade him literally after they just got him into the lineup. Canes might consider taking on Miller if the Canucks eats half his deal and send their 2023 first rounder unprotected. Canes aren’t going to tank their cup chances by making a stupid trade like this.

Sharks aren’t in any position to be adding any pieces and trade away promising prospects. Laroque looks great, they aren’t moving him.

Carolina counters with the equally ridiculous Pettersson fo a 4th
Seriously Miller with the retention and a first doesn't get you Pesce. Garland doesn't get you patches and you expect adds for both Hahaha that's funny.

No, they have little decent defensive prospects. They aren’t going to be good for years, why would they waste future capital for a goaltender to on their terrible team? Makes no sense

Because if Vancouver actually offered them that package for Demko they’d accept and immediately flip him possibly with retention for a much better package that would include a 1st round pick and multiple assets

Laroque was arguably the best D man in the WHL last year, the sharks aren’t moving him. But yes it is a low return for Demko

If that much better a return is easily attainable why wouldn't Vancouver just make that trade?
