Unfortunately the dysfunction that came from the top bled into everything, which led to needing a scapegoat. I also respect Sullivan, think it’s a shame what happened, but that’s business I guess

Realistically this is the first year he’s really hitting that next level, possibly Norris contender adjacent status. I love watching him play, rarely miss a yotes game, but that proposal including a 22 1st is an absolute haul and id let him go for that price

It would never happen, but if Toronto threw in a 22 1st as well I couldn’t say no and I love chyc

A good trade for hall
You do know Keller is out scoring him this year, and if they really want to get off that contract he’ll have positive value in return this summer, correct? A 22 year old at .75 ppg with room to grow isn’t going to just be given away essentially

Larkin to MTL
Think a center, a captain, and a building block of an organization might fetch a bit more than a very good 3rd line center and a 1st rounder in a pitiful draft. Think everyone knows with more talent surrounding him he’s a far better than this years numbers, this offer would be laughed off

What is kessels value in the offseason Love to hear thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>If 50% retained AND If he keeps a 0.65 pts/GP, some teams could be willing to send a late 1st. More likely a high 2nd.</div></div>
I think Arizona would be comfortable swimming in those waters. 3.4 mil for someone who could put up 50 points on a contender I felt would be valuable but I wasn’t sure what the league might view that as

If he pots 5-10 more and keeps up his .75 per game pace, does he fetch a 22 1st rounder? 21 and 22 2’s? What happens if Arizona eats half salary what are teams thinking then? Love to hear thoughts

Garland for a 1st and a cap dump
So Arizona gives you one of their best players and a top 5 on 5 point producer in the league this year, all for the pleasure of a mid first round pick in a poor draft and they get to take on a terrible contract to do it? I’m sure Bill Armstrong is on the phone trying to accept this as we speak

my third garland to boston attempt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hobo</b></div><div>This is likely a huge no thank you on the Bruins part - I mean Jake scores are the same level of Conor - why would we move Jake and a 1st, Karson and Urho for basically the same production and player as Jake alone - makes no sense.</div></div>
If you look at career stats then yes, they’re around the same rate. This year garland is far out pacing him and is in the top 10 for even strength points on a mediocre coyotes team. It’s pretty clear one asset is ascending and one is descending. You also have to look at the fact that garland isn’t even necessarily for sale, so the price will be high. If the bruins bring him home, expect it to be around this price tag

If Dubas fought against the second 2nd I think I’d pull the trigger. I’m a big fan of amirov

Leafs goalie help
I threw Fischer in more as a throwaway I think either team could take or leave him in the deal, he’s kind of just there. I could see it going through as is, or a 2nd being downgraded to a 3 or 4. Overall think it benefits what everyone would be looking for

playin around with isles trades
I would think they’d want at least a 2 to take on komarov and have to protect him as well. Not the worst proposal but probably would need to move picks up a round going to Arizona

the scituate sniper goes home
Not sure why Arizona would trade the better player plus a decent defenseman more or less straight up for a worse player. Talk is around a first this year and next if it’s coming from Boston whose picks will be late. This proposal isn’t happening.

This has got to be one of the worst I’ve seen. They’re not trading a year and a half of a top tier goalie for a 3rd round pick, especially taking your salary burden for the pleasure of that swap

Eichel To Arizona
This offer is much too light. They’d have to be taking on skinner to even remotely come close to skating this offer through. I personally am of the mind the posts around here are laughable over pays in picks and prospects that will never occur, but this is definitely too light in the other direction.

Oilers gain cap space and improve the net
But you also have to look at it freeing up space for nuge next year, and with throwing out two of the top 3 players in the league this year I would have to think Holland would go for it this year, while giving 4.5 to play with on next years cap. I agree it’s probably not ideal, but I would think that would be the payment to be rid of mikko while simultaneously upgrading the position and setting them up better in terms of cap

Avs get a real goalie
I don’t think the Avs are going anywhere with grubs, if they had their second I would’ve swapped for that, but in an effort to not fall into the leafs and pre cup caps trap, they make a big trade to go for a cup now
