What the lineup should be to start the playoffs Part 10 out of 16
To me, these lines seem all over the place -- but I applaud you trying to set the starting lineups for all of the playoff teams. These lines overall don't seem very realistic.
Jarnkrok - Granlund - Kunin and Trenin - Sissons - Jeannot/Olivier will not be broken up
Carrier will play with Ekholm. Only one of Gudbranson/Benning will start.
And Saros is 100% NSH's playoff starter.
The lines will probably look something more like this:
Forsberg - Johansen - Duchene (or Tolvanen - Johansen - Arvidsson)
Jarnkrok - Granlund - Kunin
Tolvanen - Haula - Arvidsson (or Forsberg - Haula - Duchene)
Trenin - Sissons - Jeannot
Josi - Ellis
Ekholm - Carrier
Benning/Gudbranson - Fabbro
Saros
Rinne

He did for a bit last season when injuries forced him to and he actually looked pretty good. So he can play the right side, but probably more comfortable on the left.

He’s a sniper who needs someone to get him the puck. He can’t generate on his own - Trotz puts him with grinders and then scratches him when he doesn’t produce.

Yeah,<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ZPirtle</b></div><div>What's the story on Bellows? He was a big name prospect when drafted, but hasn't made it yet. Similar to Tolvanen? I'd prefer Bellows to Aho in a NYI trade.</div></div>
Bellows is in a weird spot. In my opinion, he's played very well this season - no points but he looked like he belonged when he was playing with Pageau and that 3rd line has been a good forechecking/defensive group when Bellows is out there. He does have some skill and a good shot, but I don't think he has the other offensive tools to stick in a top-6 on a good team (much like <a href="/users/Isles777" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Isles777</a> said). On a third line with a strong C though, I think he'd be an incredibly effective player.

Coach Trade
Evason already left in 2018. That wasn't Lavy's or Poile's fault. He made a career move and you cannot blame him for becoming an assistant there and eventually getting the gig. I'm happy he was able to become an NHL coach he was a good one in MKE.
Karl Taylor should be next coach, he had the boys playing great hockey last year in MKE, before the season was shut down. Had good PP and PK units.

Moneyball Challenge
I was gonna do this challenge until I saw this, no reason to do it now since there's nothing to change here.
In all honesty, if you swapped out Haula for Gaudette you might be able to find an upgrade. But job well done.
Edit: Maybe Sanhiem or Graves if they can play their off side, or Barrie if you swap out Bennett for Turris, or leave Haula and switch Bennett and Gaudette instead.

Offer Sheeting Cirelli Trading Burns to NSH and Signing Key Depth Free Agents
Nashville has no need for Burns, his massive contract, and his NTC. They already have 4 dmen that will need protected or traded for the expansion draft. His 8M caphit would limit their ability to go after wingers in free agency to improve where they need the most (wings).

Taylor Hall because its the most Poile thing ever
If we go after Hall, I'd rather pay a higher price for shorter term... say 9.5M x 3 years. Hall still gets to go after another big pay day and we don't get hit with a long term contract if things go all Turris on us. Grab Benning for less than Gudas cost to compensate for the cap difference. Benning is a competent 3rd pairing Dman.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>I don't understand the Turris buyout - $2m x 8 years is insane. At least give him one more year... losing <strong>both</strong> Bonino and Turris is big. Questionable center depth now.</div></div>
It's either - we aren't spending any money this offseason... or Poile's got himself a White Whale to catch (Hall)

No, but I don't think it's a stretch to think they're looking to cut salary. $10m under cap may be a bit much though.

The “accruable cap space limit" at training camp for oilers will be
Cap hit: 82.7 million
Klef Hit: 4.167 million
The accruable cap space limit will be about 78.5 million which we would need to stay under and we flirting with it here.

Agree with <a href="/users/ZPirtle" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@ZPirtle</a> above. Also, it would help with the expansion draft as NSH could protect 7-3-1 as opposed to 4-4-1. I love Ekholm, but ultimately believe that he is the most expendable of the big 3 - Josi, Ellis, and Ekholm.

Nope there isn't lol.
A few "writers" (and I use that loosely) speculated Rask would retire based on an interview he did, but Rask later squashed those rumors. I think for next year a lot depends on two things with Rask...
1. Family status (aka the reason he left the bubble to begin with). If things are ok and everyone is good then he'll return
2. Season format - If the NHL has to do something similar where there are "x" amount of bubble cities and players have to spend months away from their family, Rask may not want to return

You make a good point about keeping Turris but...
Preds are rich at center. Im thinking if they cant get a trade for Turris, buy him out and try to sign a winger, thats proven to score 20-30 goals, to pair with Duchene and take the pressure off of their younger players to score a bunch of goals as rookies.

Trading one of the big 4
The Preds' blueline is a heck of a lot like the Oilers' offense - the top end guys look amazing so you assume there's depth, but once you get past them there's pretty much nothing. Accordingly, we can't afford to lose Ellis.
