That's ok, I speak for all Habs fans when I say Montreal does not want a 7M dollar floater and 3.8M cap dump! So we are all happy then.

what would they cost
Crouse for Drouin + 3rd
Debrusk for 2nd + Tuch
Gurianov + Dellandrea for Petry + 2nd
Zacha for 2nd + Tuch
Farabee for FLA 1st + Drouin or Allen
Konecny for Allen + 2nd + Fairbrother
Hope that helps.

Well, first there's a difference between a 1st rounder and a top-5 pick...
Then of course Pinto and Greig "<em>are far form being impactful players</em>" because they are very young and haven't started their NHL careers yet. Pinto was supposed to but unfortunately got injured. If he didn't have this injury, this conversation wouldn't even be happening.
Greig will probably make the team at camp and never look back. He's going to be an impact player based on how looked in the AHL at 18 years old, and all he did since.
DeBrincat is great but I'm not doing that. I'd rather take my chances with Greig, Pinto and Nemec (or someone else)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alex123</b></div><div>mehh I doubt isles would trade what it seems to be the steal of the last draft + a pick that could be really high</div></div>

MTL jump on this trade, they won't have to handle the Mailloux situation anymore and will get a Andersson 2.0

Name Alex Tuch the captain of this exciting team
buffalo lowkey seems like a fun team. no reason to be good but a bunch of guys like Skinner, Okposo, Tuch, Thompson are all doing well. Then Krebs too. Then Power, Dahlin, Quinn, Mittelstadt, Cozens, Samuelsson all becoming even bigger pieces for yall. Im an Islanders fan but the Sabres are rising to the top of the list rn

The thing is the prospects are really good. Plus the first rounder is so high. If it was a pick in the 20's I would say it's fair

Gaudreau is at least getting paid 10mil imo unless he's willing to take a pay cut but I highly doubt that.</div></div>
Panarin isn't comparable at all unless Gaudeau walks, Calgary can can offer an 8th year which lowers the AAV

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Commonsense27</b></div><div>Read the thread bud. And I definitely don't think Helleson is a worth a first. But definitely better than AdamFox thinks above</div></div>
First round pick are way to overrated. From 10-32 there a 35% chance of picking a players thay will play sustainable time in the NHL. The chance of getting a all star drop at under 10%. Helleson is a 2019 prospect who had improved a lot and thats for most Gm is much more valuable since players are much more developed at 21 so it make easier for scouts to see the potential. Helleson is a excellent return and clearly the Key pieces in that deal. Regardless of the rank they drafted him now Anaheim know exactly what they get in Helleson.

I wouldn't say clearly. Helleson and a 2nd is very close to the equalivant to a late first round pick. Opinions vary but imo Chiarot has a tad more value right now via trade. Still expecting a first but a return like this wouldn't be far off

You nailed it with Petry
He is NOT the right type of player to mentor Power
We’d be looking for a more defensive type

Minimally Copp will get 5 x $5,000,000 if not closer to 5 x $5,500,000 he'll be heavily sought out on the open market.

Canadiens Rebuild Year 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alex123</b></div><div>Like the thinking, I think they're going to chase a 2nd/3rd centerman at the free agent market and trade Dvorak during the summer. I also doubt they're going to draft a 5"7 centerman with Caufield, Suzuki, Evans, Pitlick, Lehkonen, Gallagher under 6 foots. Rangers fans are highly going to disagree with Lundkvist being trade for Chiarot, maybe Zac Jones could be an option?</div></div>
I think Hughes wants a RD (Jones is a LD) so the only one I would think they’d be after is Lundkvist. Perhaps Montreal throws in another asset to make it work.
I’m pretty high on Savoie but I’d love if the Habs went on a tank next year too to try and get Bedard. Savoie is 5’9 per EP and HDB and he’s 18 so there’s still time to grow. I think Suzuki is 5’10.
I’m not opposed to being bad if it means our cupboards are stocked and our team gets younger.

Dachs not a prospect he’s stuck on team that has mishandled him amongst many things. Turcotte is a guy ready through no circumstances of his own makings is kinda buried but I get what your saying.

He had a tough time in college , then got injured and transferred to the OHL. He just hit 10 games in the OHL. That’s a very small sample size
