Guentzel Probably Walks
Nadeau makes a lot of sense as a in house replacement for Guentzel if he walks. He has a great shot and a lot of potential. I think putting him with talented playmakers like Aho and Jarvis could do a lot of good.
I’d probably sign Jarvis to that, Necas not so much. I got a feeling they’re gonna draw a hard line with what they’re willing to give Necas, and he’ll end up getting dealt. They have Blake who you’re playing above him and I’d hope they’d get another decent forward prospect in return.
Bringing back Skjei doesn’t make sense bc we have Orlov and then Nikishin coming after next year. We’d either be paying a 3rd pair defenseman 6 mil or forcing a rookie with 1st pair potential to the 3rd pair. But I do agree that just letting both walk without doing anything about it is a bad idea. I would rather pick up a short term replacement for Pesce to round out the top 4. (Tanev maybe?)
Lindholm would be a great fit (been saying that for the past like 2 years now) despite his down year. I do feel like some GM is gonna be dumb enough to give him over 7 long term, but I don’t mind 6x6 if we can get that done or something around that. Stephenson could also be a target, I think he would be a good fit as well.

Not all prospects are equal. Sharks have too many small forward prospects. Habs have too many RD prospects. Both players are on the cusp of breaking into the NHL full time. Seems like a good trade.

I got love for Bords, but I'd do this trade if I was Mike. Gecko, Musty, and Gushchin are looking like our future Top 6 wingers going forward, and with Bystedt taking significant strides to being the 3C (Smith will surely be our 1C or 2C, depending on whether Chicago screws us ov... I mean the draft lottery), I'm not sure how much time Bords has left to prove himself within the Mid 6. I'd rather give a shot to a young D in Barron and I'd take this package.

Sharks deal is very interesting! Especially with the high likelihood sharks only keep one of Gushchin or Bordeleau! Both are very talented but you can only have so many small top 9 LW and Eklund has cemented himself already, Musty will be up sooner than later and I don’t want to play an under 5’10” wing on the 4th line.

Can we talk about the team Jim Nill made? Everyone is sleeping on him. And they still have crazy good prospects with crazy good young stars and top6 players. And the Goaltending is one of the best. Defense is also solid with Miro Harley Tanev Lindell and Etc. And Bischel has yet to come</div></div>
Dallas has drafted well, doesn't get discussed enough by hockey media from what I've seen/read/heard.

Staal has the most time logged this season on a line with Martinook and Fast. The only thing you're doing is proving my point on why cherry picking analytics are useless lol.
KK stinks. You can choose to keep defending him like he's paying you for it, and I'll continue to advocate for moving a 4C who makes almost 5m.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Why would you move KK? Makes more sense to move Staal... too much for TVR. Just sign someone like Kulikov at that price and put Morrow in the top four. TvR didn't work under Rod once.
Pass on JvR and Martinook at those prices. Just bring back Teuvo and give Nadeau or Blake a shot. Probably a touch high on Guentzel and Drury.</div></div>
Because Drury is a better 3C. Has more pts than KK, played in higher roles, and has been 3x as good defensively. A 4.8m boat anchor that was acquired because management wanted to be petty is an albatross thing to have on this team. I don't care if you cherry pick his PDO. He's scored 40pts once for being a top 5 pick and will eventually round off a bottom 6 scrub making too much money. Pass. Drury can do the same thing for cheaper.
Staal isn't going anywhere. He's not waiving his clause and he's the captain. We are stuck with that contract.
If you can snag Martinook at sub 2m, do it. Can play against top comp and log over 30 points a season.
I'm not keen on throwing Morrow into a top 4 role. Would rather shelter him a bit and see how he performs.

For the Blues, I'd rather get a 2024 1st and a defensive prospect, however, the value is there so I'd probably accept if no other team has an offer that fits the Blues better.

It is incredibly unlikely Yakemchuk is in the NHL next year. I also expect Bystedt to spend next year in the AHL, though he could prove himself in camp (I could see some call ups, especially after the TDL). Musty could make the NHL but I'm guessing he gets his 9 games and gets sent back to Sudbury. I'd be somewhat surprised if Couture plays again, let alone next year.

2024 1ST (WPG) + 2025 2ND (PIT) + Jordan Harris for Alex Holtz and Graeme Clarke.</div></div>
I didn’t say Holtz was worth 2 1sts?
I gave a list of players on the Habs that would fit well in NJD, and my valuations of them.
I’d also throw in Josh Anderson at 50% retention to that list who I’d value at a 2nd, but the habs probably will just eat his money for the rest of the contract rather than burn the retention slot
I would add to holtz to get Guhle.
I’d probably consider doing Holtz for Newhook 1 for 1.
No interest in selling holtz for picks, at least not until he’s an RFA.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>batman</b></div><div>Kyle_Davidson thoughts on this ACGM?</div></div>
Not a bad projection at all. Of course there are some things I would do differently with unrestricted free agents and RFA contracts, but a solid projection if the hawks goals are to plug holes short term.
I like the Arvidsson signing for what it is worth
I dislike the Martinez signing
I would go longer term with Vlasic since we can afford higher AAV right now.
I would think Lukas Reichel gets a 1 year deal.
There are some ideas here that I think should be corrected
- Lindstrom will need time to develop before playing in the NHL
-Nazar will likely spend a year in he minors
-If the hawks sign a free agent D it will likely be a RD who can help develop Korchinsky.
-The hawks will probably not bring in a goalie unless they move on from Arvid.
