The Jets would love Garland at that price I think.

For an unneeded and unwanted player, yes.

Boeser doesn't really do anything for the Jets. I don't see them having any interest.
Garland on the other hand...

That would be something Winnipeg considers, I think. Although maybe before the TDL if possible.

I’d take that as a Jets fan. Lucius is a few years away and having Garland shore up our forward core helps us compete now

Next Year
That's good value for the Jets, but nothing they need, so I'd imagine Winnipeg says no.

2023 w cap
Leafs fan 50 cents:
Detroit deal: zero reason for Yzerman to move Rasmussen. Young, top 9 upside with a bit of size. Järnkrök simply isn't even close. IF Yzerman is going to entertain an offer here, it may start with a Robertson, meaning a larger deal to male it work. Even then, I question Stevie's motivation.
Winnipeg:
Barron looks like a very legit top 9 forward, again with some size. But the package here is crap. Sure Abruzesse has top 9 potential, Anderson maybe a 4th line guy. But there is nothing here to have Chevy think. Hell, I am not sure this is even a fit for these two teams, as if I am Chevy, Barron = Kerfoot, and that would be on an extension for sure. Further, if that is the case, Barron is simply a far cheaper option so why do it?
Listen, I see what your doing and appreciate the effort. But if you are going to land these guys, you have to make a GM think at least. For me, as a LEAFS fan, I see how they say no.

I really like Garland, but I hope Chevy wouldn't consider paying that much.

gear up for a playoff run
Ignoring the (off) value, Morrissey isn't waiving his full No-Move, and the Jets aren't trading their #1 defenceman away with 6 years left when they're trying to compete and also currently in a playoff spot. What logic is there in that trade?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bikelh</b></div><div>Again, I value Demelo's on-ice value a lot higher than I think his trade value is. I'd trade Schmidt, Dillon or Pionk before I traded Demelo, just because we don't have any other players who are as good at shutting down the game as him. I don't really want Jokiharu at all tbh, I'd rather just slot Heinola in, so if it was straight up for Olofsson I'd listen a little more. But who knows what a NHL GM values anyway these days...</div></div>
Yes, I understand you, players like DeMelo and those like him are very valuable for the team.

rest of the season moves
Jets would like AA. They need to add to the middle six as they don’t get much secondary scoring. Don’t need retention so drop the 5th and you’ve got yourself a deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Yup, I can see that. I wouldn't say Zucker is good, he's more meh than good, but in no universe is worth giving up a first for. As I said with the amount of time he consistently misses, he's a non factor. Especially to a team like Winnipeg.</div></div>
I agree Zucker isn't worth moving a 1st for but he's better then a meh player.. lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Nah. Zucker is pretty meh. Paid at least double what he is worth, misses at least half the season or more consistently. Definitely not worth moving a first for. A player of his quality can easily be had for an AHL'er or a mid round pick, or even on waivers. He's just not a difference maker to good or bad teams.</div></div>
Zucker is a good player but I just don't think this is a year to be moving a 1st if this draft is as deep as the hype it gets on here.
I just can't buy stock in a team who's top D pair is
Morrissey-Pionk/DeMelo, even if Hellebuyck has a career year I just can't see them going very far with that for a top D pair.
Zucker probably blocks a trade to Winnipeg anyway, pretty sure all the Canadian teams are on his no trade list.
