Looks creative, although I think this is an overpayment for DeMelo, especially since he will be one year from UFA.

well, so is lybushkin and UPL is 1 year from the KHL at this point.

If it falls apart, you move demelo at the deadline and get that 2nd back.

Yeap, but I think Boosh was decent before injury, I don't know why they kept playing with him when he couldn't even train. I think we in this deal would have to return some more from Jets.

They played him because Samuelsson, dahlin and jokihajru were hurt and ahl veteran defensmen were getting over 20 mins a night

You may be right, but this would be the type of trade to make

Yes, but he, too, was injured and probably played poorly because of this. Our defense depth killed us.

How many teams go 10 deep? Come on

That's not the point, they just have better depth than we do. Bryson sucked, Clague (although he played some decent games with Power), Pilut and Fitz were just not good. Fitz couldn't even block a single shot until recently, and all the others are soft and small.

I need to know more about what’s going on with Krebs but, on paper, this is a deal the Wild would at least have to think about…

No! Minnesota isn't trading their top C prospect for Casey Middlestat whose barely worth a 2nd and Peyton Krebs who has way less value

How is Krebs worth way less than Rossi?

I think Rossi needs to fail a couple more times before MN would start to think about it.

My personal opinion is that neither Rossi or Krebs are NHL centers. Mitts is a low end 3C on a quality team, but he would step right into the Kap line center for the Wild.

No real interest in an offseason trade like this. I liked Krebs his draft year and didn't like Rossi his draft year. Now I'm really just meh on both of them.

Mitts is the interesting thing in the trade to me, and that's only because MN currently has Sam Steel (or Hartman if he's healthy) as it's 1C.

That's good value for the Jets, but nothing they need, so I'd imagine Winnipeg says no.

It’s really not. Mittelstadt is of interest and could be talked about in a separate trade if Buffalo is willing to trade him.
