Let's not start with these silly Wedgwood for Vezina rumours. If he was NHL good, don't you think the NJD would have kept him? If he was NHL good, don't you think another NHL team would have picked up on waivers? By your logic, why not make Wedgwood the # 1, Leafs waive Andersen (he gets claimed) and the Leafs save 4m in cap.</i></div></div>

Vezina now eh? Thats cool palhal, I believe I suggested that it might be worth carrying 3 goalies for a while as the leafs goaltending is their biggest question mark. Wedgewood would be third in depth behind Anderson and Enroth and he is easily better than the rest of the leafs goalie prospects. Devils have Schnieder (better than Anderson), Kincaid (same as Enroth) and Blackwood (potentially better than all of them) in the system. Losing Wedgewood was a risk but they chose to keep Kincaid. Also helped that Condon was waived at the same time. I would think that if Condon wasnt waived, Wedgewood would be a penguin now. Anyways, leafs had a chance to add depth for free at their weakest organizational position and they chose instead to pick up another 5'9" forward that used to play for the London Knights.
