Sign Stone then trade Duchene amp Dzingle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Willian_Cardoso</b></div><div>Your trade would blow Winnipeg's balance. They don't need to be so aggressive. A trade to get a player like Brassard would be enough to them.
And why Oilers would bring a rental, if they probably won't get a playoff spot?</div></div>
It sure sounds like Winnipeg is big game hunting, don't know if they want to settle on a Brassard. As for the Oilers, if they acquire Dzingle now, they can test him out next to Mcdavid to see if there is a potential long term fit there instead of gambling July 1st

I think the Sens know how important it is to sign him and will eventually get a deal done

Youth Retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sens4life</b></div><div>That load of crapp won't get you the 10th overall.</div></div>
Wouldn't be surprised with Chiarelli. He's looking for a right shot puck moving D and is willing to trade the 10th OA to tend to this need. He traded a !st overall for Larsson. Ceci has more offensive upside than Larsson and while he may not defend as well as Larsson he still gets the job done defensively (when not paired with Phaneuf). Also, Ceci has always had the potential to produce on the PP but behind EK he has never got a chance in Ottawa.
Condon and Montoya are even swaps, Sens get a cheaper backup and Oilers get a back up who has shown stints of being a very good backup.

Karlsson trade with every team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaptJosef</b></div><div>Yeah from the Flyers that's a hard no. And I suspect you'll find the same from a lot of teams, gutting the prospect farm and or current roster is a sideways move at best for most teams. As good as Karlsson is he's just one player. The Flyers aren't giving up 3 of their top 5 prospects plus a first pick.
Dorion can demand what he wants but really I suspect he's looking at best case 2 good prospects / young NHLers, 2 first round picks, and maybe a middling prospect for Karlsson. If Ryan is involved then there will almost certainly be a cap dump or two heading back to Ottawa and maybe another middling prospect/pick or two. That's where the the trade gets to 7 pieces comes in, not for Karlsson straight up.</div></div>
I agree on what the trade will most likely come down to, but to start talks Dorion will most likely have asks similar to this. He'd start the demand with a top level forward and defense prospect/young NHLer, 2 1st round picks, another A level prospect and a R-hand D to replace EK in short term.
The trade situations above are all best case scenarios for Ottawa which is the only way I think they can justify trading their franchise player

Karlsson trade with every team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LGBstl</b></div><div>these are all major over payments, especially the ones with Ryan involved.</div></div>
It will take an overpayment for Dorion to trade Karlsson. 6 months ago he was being talk about as a top 3 player in the world, won't get traded for anything less than a home run. Even with Ryan attached it brings package down from 7 to 5 assets

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rangersandislesfan</b></div><div>Not saying Ottawa would do that, but the Islanders aren't trading Barzal, sorry.</div></div>
Getting EK would go a long way in convincing JT they are ready to win now. Other than Barzal, Islanders don't have many enticing prospects for a home run scenario for Ottawa.

how karlsson
There is no way Ottawa will trade Karlsson without getting a 1st round pick back. Don't have one in 2019 so they will want to get an extra this year or one for next year

MTL makes sense as a destination for him. He's french and they could afford his contract.

Fair Brassard deal
Don't see the Sens trading away Brassard without getting a 1st round pick back given that they won't have one in 2019.
